(S/E) With your back to the town hall, turn right, then right again at the intersection and continue for 100 metres.
(1) Turn left onto a small lane, cross a small farmyard and continue straight ahead until you reach Rue de la Basse Messé.
(2) Turn left, then right onto Rue de la Rosière and continue for about 200 metres.
(3) Turn right onto Rue des Acacias and continue for about 500 metres to reach Chemin des Trois Bonniers.
(4) Turn left onto this grassy path. Continue along various grassy (and sometimes muddy) paths, turn right and then immediately left onto Naviette de Gondecourt, then after 300 metres turn left to reach Naviette d'Herrin.
(5) Turn right onto this old paved road, which will take you directly to the canal.
(6) Take the towpath on the left for 2 kilometres. After passing under the high-voltage power lines, take the stairs on the left marked "Route des Marlettes".
(7) Go up and then down the stairs. At the bottom, between two pastures, continue to the right through the undergrowth until you reach a crossroads.
(8) Pass between the square pillar and the fence. When you reach the road, turn left and follow the yellow signs for "Route des Marlettes". After passing under the two high-voltage power lines, turn left and then, facing the two round pillars, turn right and continue for about 1 kilometre.
(9) At the entrance to the village, turn right onto a stony path, then follow the second grassy path on the left.
(10) Continue along Rue du Marais on the right. At no. 53, turn left. This gravel path leads to the stadium. Continue to the right and join Rue du Général de Gaulle RD39. Turn right, then at the traffic lights, turn left onto Rue de la Gare and continue for 200 metres.
(11) On your left is a wide grassy strip; follow it to its end for about 500 metres. Take the gravel and then grassy path opposite to the next intersection. This area is very muddy. Continue left towards Herrin Church (about 800 metres). Cross the road carefully to reach the church (slip between the hedge and the concrete fence to reach the car park) (S/E).
