Vic-Fezensac walks

Enjoy the coolness of the path along the River Osse and a stop in the village of Marambat (fortified gate) before tackling the climbs; you will then be rewarded with sweeping, magnificent views.

A hilltop village, Lagardère offers splendid views of the countryside, with its vineyards and multicoloured fields. Its typical Gascon château dominates the surrounding area and is accompanied by a small 12th-century Romanesque chapel.

This route passes close to old mills and follows the ridge path, offering beautiful views of the village of Bazian. In spring, you can discover wild orchids.

From Bazian, one of the best-restored villages in Gascony, follow the ridgelines through beautiful landscapes dotted with numerous windmills, signs of a former specialisation in agriculture. In Bazian, south of Vic-Fezensac, you will discover the village and its renovated castle, mills and viewpoints.

A circular route to the south of Jegun through the rolling countryside with beautiful views. A break at the wash houses in Jegun, a short detour to the Ancien Moulin du Pouy and, to finish, a visit to Jegun and its 12th-century collegiate church.

In the Osse valley, starting from Riguepeu, this route offers pleasant landscapes and remarkable views.

Between the Douze and Auzoue valleys, the village of Lupiac, perched on a hill, is crossed by the Chemin de César, an ancient Roman road also known as the Ténarèze. A fortified village, Lupiac belonged until 1792 to the Batz family, known for the most famous of the Gascons: d'Artagnan.

A pleasant and varied route, starting from Valence-sur-Baïse, which can be enjoyed in all seasons, with the aim of visiting the double lock at Graziac.

Newly re-routed, the Baïse towpath allows you to reach Condom from Valence, following the river for 11 km. This circular route joins the double lock at Graziac via forest paths, returning through the valley.

Taking the path through the hills surrounding the hilltop village of Lavardens, walkers can see the castle on its rocky promontory at any time.

This route takes you through plantations of poplars, kiwis and hazelnuts alongside vineyards, dotted with copses and small ponds. The mosaic of colours and crops will also delight walkers, with views over the countryside and the villages of Cazeneuve and Eauze.

Thirty-ninth stage of the Camino de Santiago. Blaziert is a picturesque little village, ideal for a nice picnic break before or after your hike. The route offers varied scenery throughout, dotted with vineyards, sunflower fields in July and beautiful houses in the valleys of Ténarèze.

This route is designed to be educational, with each kilometre punctuated by a message about respect, difference, tolerance and secularism, making it an educational trail to share with children.
