Departure from the car park in front of the church in Valence-sur-Baïse, near the town hall.
(S/E) Take Rue Victor Hugo, which runs alongside the church, and at the end of the street, turn left onto Boulevard du Nord and continue until you reach the right-angle bend. At the bend, take the path that leads downhill to the right.
(1) Follow this path down to Rue de la République. At the roundabout, turn left onto the D930.
(2) Cross the Aulloue.
(3) At the crossroads after the bridge over the Auloue, head straight on towards Abbaye de Flaran. Stay on this road until you reach Abbaye de Flaran (which you can visit). Pass in front of the abbey buildings and turn right onto the D142 road.
(4) Take care when walking along the D142 road, pass the racecourse and continue to the junction with a path on the right. Take care when crossing the D142 road.
(5) Take the path on the left that enters the Bois des Moines forest at the junction.
Cross the forest, staying on this path. At the edge of the forest, continue on the path that turns right and joins a tarmac road.
(6) Turn left, then right at the next junction, and stay on this road until you reach a place called Pisset. Take the path opposite, which runs alongside the buildings. Turn left at a place called Le Gaillou and continue straight ahead until you reach the junction of the paths.
(7) Turn right and take the path that leads into the forest. Stay on this shaded path until you reach a tarmac road junction.
(8) Turn right and stay on this path. Ignore a path on the right and turn left. Then turn right to cross the bridge over the Baïse.
(9) Take the double lock bridge. Continue along this path until you reach the junction with the D930 road.
(10) Take the road opposite. Take care when crossing the D930. Continue to the village of Herret.
(11) Go around the church on the right. At the crossroads, follow the road to the right and theGRP® towards Valence aerodrome. Pass the first crossroads and continue to the right-angle bend. Take theGRP® marked path (red and yellow) opposite and stay on this path until you reach the hamlet of Le Canonge. At the end of the path, turn right onto the path to the chapel.
(12) Stay on this path until you reach the junction with the D930 road. Turn left and follow the D930 road for about 100 metres. Cross the D930 road and take the gravel path opposite, which leads to the D142 road near the bridge over the Auloue. Turn left, still on the GRP®.
(3) Follow this road to the left until you reach the roundabout, then turn right onto Rue de la République for a few metres and take the path on your left which climbs up to the village of Valence-sur-Baïse. Take Boulevard du Nord until you reach the church. Turn right and take Rue Victor Hugo, which runs alongside the church. You will arrive back at the starting point on the church square (S/E).
