From the Gèle to Monluc via Guilleton

A pleasant walk starting from the village of Saint-Puy, crossing the River Gèle – a tributary of the Baïse – several times. The walk offers beautiful views of the village of Saint-Puy, La Sauvetat and the Mas d’Auvignon. No major difficulties, but a lovely way to explore the Gers countryside.

Notes

In hot weather, it is best to do this walk in the morning or late in the day. Do feel free to stop for a break at a place called Courtis, in the shade of the oak trees along the banks of the Gèle...

Worth a visit

If you’ve decided to have a picnic, you can do your shopping in the village, where you’ll find bread and other food at the Proxy (a convenience store selling groceries, tobacco, newspapers and petrol, etc.). You might prefer to have lunch at one of the two restaurants in the village.
