Oules du Diable, Cascade du Buchardet and Cabane de l'Aup

Very nice, accessible hike: no difficult passages, breathtaking views of the glaciers all the way, regular waterfalls, marmots, an incredible end to the hike with the Oules du Diable.
Hike done on August 23, 2014, a year with a lot of water, we were lucky: waterfalls and torrents "at full throttle" and a very flowery route!

Les Oules du Diable

Near La Chapelle-en-Vagaudémar, in the hamlet of Les Portes, a quick detour takes you to the Navette torrent and, beyond the Roman bridge, to the Oules du Diable with their bubbling giant's kettles.

Lakes of Sebeyras - Le Lauvet

From the Sebeyras Lakes, the route will first take you to the Col de Pétarel. From there, you will descend towards Saint-Maurice-en-Valgodemar. You will then follow the old transhumance paths to reach the Six Cabanes, then climb the Col de Menoux to Lauvet.
From Villar-Loubière to La Chapelle-en-Valgaudemar via Lac du Lautier
A beautiful, varied hike with stunning views and a lake perfect for relaxing. A pleasant climb (a little steep at the start and very end), in the shade (early in the morning) for a good half of the route; a fairly long and difficult descent over scree. A full day's hike. Use the shuttle bus or bring two vehicles.

Cabane du Sellar via the Chalets du Prentiq

A wild trail leads you up a gentle slope following the Prentiq valley to the Cabane du Sellar. Surrounded by mountains, this place is a true haven of peace, where only the sounds of nature welcome you.
Prentiq chalets

An enriching hike to discover the traditions and history of this small valley. Follow a path along the stream to reach Prentiq (near the old houses), a haven of wild beauty with traces of pastoral life. Discover a hamlet where only two huts remain, along with ruins and dry stone walls that bring to mind the traditions of yesteryear. On the way back along the track, you will be treated to beautiful views of the valley.
Vallonpierre Refuge - Chabournéou Refuge

A beautiful climb to the Vallonpierre refuge is followed by a superb crossing that leads to the Chabournéou refuge, in high mountain terrain beneath the elegant north face of the Sirac.
Lac le Lauzon

A short walk leads to a peaceful lake where, in good weather, the neighbouring peaks are reflected.

Lac Bleu - Lac le Lauzon

A family loop trail among waterfalls and flowers to Lac Bleu and Lac Lauzon, in the exceptional setting of the Cirque du Gioberney, above the Voile de la Mariée waterfall.

Vallonpierre refuge - Sebeyras lakes

From the Vallonpierre refuge, the hike takes you to the Rif du Sap chapel, then to the charming village of La Chapelle-en-Valgaudémar, where you can stop for refreshments at a local grocery store. The route then crosses the Valgaudémar National Forest before reaching the magnificent lakes of Pétarel and Sebeyras.
Champoléon Valley

A peaceful exploration of the upper Champoléon valley, on either side of the Drac de Champoléon or Drac Blanc torrent in the heart of the Champsaur Massif, to the Pré de la Chaumette refuge on the edge of the Écrins National Park.

Col de Vallonpierrre via Isora
This isa physicallydemanding hike that is not particularly technical. Not suitable for those who suffer from vertigo. Set off early in summer to avoid the heat. This route is much less travelled than the "classic" GR®54.
The Crupillouse Lakes

In July, head for the Crupillouse lakes: small high-altitude lakes that are still frozen, alternating between earth and stone. The trail crosses three streams and snowfields and sometimes climbs in tight switchbacks from 1,400 to 2,600 metres.
Watched over by chamois, the arrival at the lakes is a reward for the fairly long climb.
The thawed sections were magnificent colours.
Tour of Puy des Baumes via the Val Estrèche and Lauzières passes

Very long, wild and challenging alpine hike. The first part is on a trail up the Val Estrèche, where you may see chamois and ibex. The second part is wild and off-trail, climbing up to the Col de Val Estrèche and then crossing over to the Col des Lauzières. Descent via Cros de la Casse to the Lacs de Crupillouse, where you finally find a good winding trail that descends southwards under the Aiguille de Crupillouse, crossing streams and waterfalls.
The Col de Font Froide via the Cabanne de Peyron Roux
The final destination of this almost round-trip itinerary, the Col de Font Froide offers an exceptional view of the Écrins massif. In the distance: Barre des Écrins, Pic Coolidge, Ailefroide, Les Bans... And nearby: Pic de Colle Blanche, Brèche de l'Homme Étroit, Tête de Mal Cros, Pointe des Moutières, Pic de Parières, Aiguille de Morges. Far below: the Navette valley in Valgaudemar. A high mountain atmosphere is guaranteed on this pass, which is accessible via a footpath!
The Col de l'Ardouère loop from Molines-en-Champsaur
The steep slope on the right bank of the Séveraissette valley is home to the trail crossing the Col de l'Ardouère, which winds boldly through the rugged terrain of a complex and grandiose landscape. Be careful! While the climb up the eastern slope is accessible, the descent down the western slope has some exposed, even vertiginous sections where the slightest slip could be fatal.
Le Vieux Chaillol from Les Borels

Overlooking the Champsaur valley and the southern Valgaudemar, the Vieux Chaillol offers a fantastic rocky setting and a dazzling panorama of a large group of mountains: Dévoluy, Vercors and Écrins. The view even extends as far as Mont Ventoux and the Lure mountain.
The ascent to the Col de Côte Longue is made from the east, starting from the Champoléon valley.
This hike is reserved for experienced and trained mountain hikers.
Lake Cédéra via Méollion and return via Serre Borel
Climb up to this small mountain lake through a beautiful valley in the Champoléon valley. Méollion is a place steeped in history, from the abandonment of the village at the beginning of the century (rural exodus) to the Maquis and its destruction by the Germans on 13 November 1943.The final climb to the lake is steep and seems endless, but the reward is well worth it!

Opposite the famous Tourond Valley, the charming Méollion Valley takes you along old mule tracks to a ruined mountain pasture and an old village abandoned at the beginning ofthe 20th century. A refuge for resistance fighters in 1943, the ruins of Méollion are a feast for the eyes!

An easy loop that follows both banks of a pretty torrent, with a possible stop at the Tourond refuge.
With a bit of luck, you may be greeted by a few marmots.
