Gemeaux walks

Circular route around and through Gemeaux to discover this picturesque little village in the Côte d'Or, rich in architectural heritage: its market halls, medieval house, church, castle, fountain and wash house.

Le Creux Bleu is the resurgence (kastic massif) of the Francheville stream, which disappears a few kilometres upstream and is located 20 metres from the Ignon river in the centre of the village.

From Norges-la-Ville town hall, take the Norges observatory trail. Follow a boardwalk on stilts to Norges-le-Bas, then discover the old stone houses of the villages of Norges and Brétigny. Along the way you'll see 4 washhouses, 2 small waterfalls and plenty of wildlife.Ideal for families, preferably from April to October.

Superb village around the Bèze resurgence and its cave, which can be visited by boat.

Explore the Messigny Forest to Sainte-Anne. Return via the BMX site to the village. A route with very little elevation gain. This hike through the forest is very pleasant in the summer, with lily of the valley in May and orchids and foxgloves in June.

A very easy hike on the outskirts of Dijon, between Vantoux and Hauteville.

A short, easy and very pleasant hike leading to the Butte Saint-Siméon in Saulx-le-Duc, the highest point offering a beautiful view of the Ignon valley. No technical difficulty, but the climb to the Butte Saint-Siméon is steady.

Well-marked, fairly easy route (it is indicated on the hiking map (Dijon Ouest - Val Suzon - Sainte-Seine l'Abbaye - 3022ET). Beautiful views over the valley on a clear day. A short and easy hike to discover the valleys around Saussy, including the very wild Combe Quinquendolle, a nature reserve. This hike only uses public paths and forests!

A beautiful, slightly challenging hike to discover a series of deep valleys, pretty views and beautiful springs: a change of scenery guaranteed just 10 km from Dijon.

This easy hike will take you between Vingeanne and the canal to the Château de Rosières, a 15th-century fortified manor house that is still inhabited and operates as a bed and breakfast. It is open to visitors.

A beautiful walk, two-thirds of it shaded, in the countryside at the gateway to Dijon, between Talant and Plombières, between valleys and vineyards, with beautiful views over Talant, the Ouche valley and Mont Afrique in the distance. The incline is reasonable and broken down into three short climbs, making this a very easy and relatively fast walk.

I suggest a short walk that will take you through some of Dijon's parks, passing by a beautiful viewpoint overlooking Lac Kir.

The Ouche has been redeveloped, making it a great place for a walk in spring or autumn. You can collect walnuts in season. A very pleasant bucolic setting where you can watch the birds. This route is designed to allow you to discover the vineyards of Dijon, which are located above the Combe à la Serpent or near the Fort de la Motte Giron. In recent years, there has been a real desire to develop a Dijon appellation, and several vineyards have been planted or replanted. This is also an opportunity to enjoy an original route and pass from one valley to another via less frequented paths. This is a short but fairly challenging hike, dotted with heritage sites such as Le Rucher, cadoles (stone huts), Fort de la Motte Giron, the beautiful Combe Persil and its Jardin des Poètes (Poets' Garden), and on the way back, Combe Saint-Joseph and La Bergerie, which is also your starting and finishing point.

Salives, a must-see medieval village in Côte d'Or: its ramparts, its keep, the heraldic route recounting the medieval life of the village, and its wash house with the main source of the Tille river under the church. This route also takes in Barjon Castle and Saint-Frodulphe Chapel. A little further on, there is a mill with a water wheel that is still in working order. Also worth seeing in Le Meix are the wash house beneath the town hall and the château.

This day-long hike allows you to discover the vineyards that will eventually make up the Dijon appellation. You will regularly enjoy beautiful views of the plain or Dijon, but also more mysterious passages in the undergrowth and at the bottom of the valley. It is a varied route rich in heritage, on terrain that can be very different at times.

This circuit will take you on a route that will allow you to discover pretty valleys and charming woodland paths near Dijon.

A short, easy route in Combe à la Serpent, taking in its main attractions: the Aviators' Memorial, the dry stone apiary, two springs and numerous cadoles. The little path along the Bressey hillside is particularly spectacular!

A circular route around Gouville Castle takes you along the Vergy path, where you can admire the Combe des Grands Vaux, before returning via a good footpath to the Crosne spring, which flows from a small cliff.

This hike, which includes a steep climb (called the Montée du Ouf by hikers from Dijon), allows you to discover the historic Leuzeu farm, which is very well equipped for hikers, and Mont Afrique, one of the highest points in the Côte d'Or.

Short hike to discover the Fontaine du Naizou and the village of Flavignerot.

A circular loop through the woods to (re)discover this famous monument in the Dijon region, which has undergone a beautifully executed restoration. And beautiful views of the Dijon region and the Ouche valley. A very pleasant walk on a full moon night.

The classic trail for a tour of Mont Afrique via the rampart walk. With little elevation gain, beautiful panoramic views and several military structures from the Séré-de-Rivières line, this is an ideal hike for training or getting back into the swing of things!
