Park in Vantoux at the corner of Rue du Château and Chemin d'Hauteville.
(S/E) Go up Chemin d'Hauteville. Then follow the main path along the castle wall. Continue along the main path. Cross the Bois de Ventoux to reach Carrefour des Herbues.
(1) Turn left and you will soon reach the Chemin des Vaches crossroads. Continue south towards Hauteville via the Chemin de Messigny. You will arrive at the Chemin des Lavières crossroads. Take the opportunity to admire a cadole (stone hut) on your left, the Cabiote Maurice.
(2) Continue to the right to reach Hauteville-lès-Dijon.
(3) Go up Rue de la Paisse. When you reach the edge of the village, stay on the road and pass under the power lines before arriving at the La Lusotière crossroads.
(4) Descend to the right and join the Combe de Pionelle at the edge of the forest. Enter the forest and exit at a place called Sur la Tête aux Chevaux.
(5) Continue straight ahead, first through the meadows and then along the Bois du Chêne before reaching the Côte Saint-Laurent.
(6) Enter the woods opposite and continue along the path down to the bottom of the valley. You will reach the Combe des Chênaux crossroads. You can take a detour to the Source de Chenaux a few metres to the left.
(7) Continue downhill to reach the Combe Ragot crossroads.
(8) Stay in this valley and walk along the Coteaux Chênaux until you reach the D104 departmental road.
(9) Take it to the right for a few metres. At the crossroads, continue straight ahead along Chemin du Bas des Vignes at the edge of the woods. You will reach the crossroads at the stadium.
(10) Continue along this path and enter Messigny. At the junction with Chemin de la Vigne au Loup, continue straight ahead along Rue de la Corvée du Pont and then along the D104 to return to the car park (S/E).
