(S/E) From the Norges-La-Ville town hall car park, look towards the Norges and join the footbridge you see to cross the river.
(1) After the footbridge, turn left onto the boards.
Continue straight ahead on the boards until you reach Norges-Le-Bas. At the halfway point, the plank trail crosses the Norges and you're now on its left bank.
Take time to observe the animals: moorhens, ducks, herons, coypu, draught horses in the pastures and trout.
When you reach the road from Norges-Le-Bas to Bellefond, climb the 3 or 4 steps to the right and cross the river again by the bridge.
(2) 30m further on, at the crossroads, cross the road (Roman road) with care, then turn left onto a wide path (Raffenot), admire the beautiful old properties and their parks, then follow this path straight on until you reach the entrance to the village of Brétigny. Keep out of sight of all the roads you come across.
At the junction of the 1st street in Brétigny, cross over and go straight along the Norges on a well-marked footpath.
On your right, you'll see the fire department and a picnic table.
This little path takes you behind and past some pretty old houses, before arriving in the heart of the village of Brétigny via Ruelle des Combes, opposite a property and its wooded park.
Turn left and cross the river again, then after the bridge, keep right and follow the Norges as closely as possible to the next bridge.
Keep to the riverbank and do not follow the road to Clenay.
At the bridge, cross Rue d'Avau with care, then take the little path opposite which goes to the wash-house and runs alongside the Norges. Take time to watch the ducks, moorhens and swans.
Follow this little path along the Norges and 100m further on, it goes off to the left to join the route de Clénay. Carefully cross the D28a.
Go left on the path parallel to the Brétigny-Clénay road, then after 50m, turn right onto the wide white path along the fields. Follow it straight ahead to the Brétigny cemetery.
At the junction with Chemin du grand Rousseau, continue straight ahead. Pass the large pond and ignore all the paths on your left to reach the "Croix Blanche". The white path goes off to the right, follow it, taking care 100m further on not to go either right (fork) or left, but straight on for 20m. This wide white path leads off to the left between meadows and pastures. Numerous horses and sheep. Continue straight ahead until you reach a carriage road. Turn left and straight on to the D28a road. Cross carefully and continue straight ahead. You're now on the old Roman road.
(4) On the left, note the old Château de Norges, the former Commanderie des Antonins founded in the 13th century; it's worth taking a look at the rear facade as you cross the road from Norges to Brétigny.
Cross the bridge over the Norges again, and join point 2...
(2) Take the wide Chemin des Naizoirs to the right and follow it to the entrance road to Norges village (route de Dijon, D105). Numerous horses in the pastures.
Turn right onto Route de Dijon and head towards the church, then the source of the Norges and finally the town hall, your starting point (S/E).
