Park in the car park along the Tille, Rue de l'Égalité.
(S/E) Turn left as you leave the car park and walk past the wash house. Join the road (Rue du Centre) and head to the middle of the bridge on the left to admire the dam on the Tille.
(1) Retrace your steps and turn left onto Rue du Moulin. At the end, turn left again and continue straight on, following the castle’s outer wall to the picnic area.
(2) Turn left onto Rue de la Tille and continue along the stony path beside the river. Further on, this path turns right, moving away from the Tille towards the plain, and becomes grassy for about 500 m.
(3) Turn right and follow the stony path to the road. Turn left, cross the bridge over the Venelle and head right to the developed site of La Perte de la Venelle.
(4) Return to the road, continue to the right, and take the first path on the right. Follow this path, which bends further on to the right, and continue straight ahead.
(5) At the crossroads, go straight on towards the hedge of tall trees. When you reach the village entrance, cross the bridge over the Venelle and go straight on along Avenue de la Forêt de Velours.
At the end, turn left towards the castle gate, passing the town hall and the fountain. Continue along this street to the Stop sign next to the "Fontaine de la Liberté".
(6) Cross straight ahead to take Rue Armand Belot. After number 26 on this street, turn right into Impasse des Deux Rivières.
(7) At the end of the cul-de-sac, at the entrance to the landscaped park, turn right and follow the path straight on to the car park (S/E).
A rather pleasant route where the rain took us by surprise. We’d planned to cut it short, but we were motivated enough to see it through to the end. In dry weather (???!!!), the loss of the Venelle is a bit of a shame, but that’s not Visorando’s responsibility.
