Start from Place de la Résistance (Capucins car park) in Is-sur-Tille.
(S/E) Follow Rue des Capucins due north and cross the river.
(1) Continue straight on along the same street, passing Rue des Graviers on your right, as well as the next two streets.
(2) Turn right into Rue Marie Estivalet.
(3) Turn left into the first street, Rue François Rude.
(4) At the Fork in the road, turn right onto Rue des Carrières, which continues as the path of the same name leading up into the woods.
(5) Walk past the quarries where “Pierre d’Is-sur-Tille” was once quarried, then past the Montchevreuil house (private property). Join the D120d.
(6) Cross the departmental road, then take the track that climbs gently up to the hunting lodge at elevation 391.
(7) Follow the ridge for 1 km, then head back down to the left along a small stony path that passes a small bell tower.
(8) Cross a lawn and walk past the secondary school.
(4) Continue to the right along Rue François Rude.
(3) Cross the medieval defensive ditch via the Porte de Langres bridge and take Rue Pasteur opposite.
Carry on to Place Jean Durant (a Protestant pastor in Is from 1623 to 1678).
(9) Turn right onto Quai Miton (named after the parish priest who founded the first hospice in 1412), then left onto Rue des Graves.
(1) Turn left onto Rue des Capucins to reach the car park (S/E).
