A short route with no particular difficulties, offering superb views of the Rossberg area to the south and the Petit Ballon to the north.
Circuit around Lac du Ballon
This is an ideal short walk in hot weather, starting from the Col du Haag and passing successively by Lac du Ballon, the Roedelen farm and the Grand Ballon. As the circuit is located on the northern slope of the Grand Ballon at an altitude of over 1,000 metres, there is no need to worry about excessive heat.

Saint-Amarin - Mitzach / Tour du Hirschenbach - Sentier des Poètes variant
A pleasant circular route suitable for families or groups with inexperienced walkers and/or children. Numerous opportunities for breaks and stunning views over the Mitzach and Saint-Amarin valleys. You can shorten the walk by taking "shortcuts" to the valley at the end of the route and change the direction of the circular route by starting from Saint-Amarin and taking theGR®532(Yellow Rectangle) and/or following the "vita" route. However, this direction will be a little more "challenging" for those who are less physically fit.
Around the Grand Ballon
This family walk takes you around the highest peak in the Vosges Mountains (1,424 metres). While enjoying breathtaking panoramic views of the Alsace plain, the Black Forest, the Jura and the Bernese Alps, you will discover the rich flora and history of the Grand Ballon.
Grand Ballon - Col du Haag - Route des Crêtes circuit
This circuit will take you to the highest peak in the Vosges, offering views of the Alps in good weather. You can admire the surrounding Vosges peaks and high-altitude villages such as Geishouse and Goldbach-Altenbach.
At the start and finish points, you will find various places to eat and a shop selling local products. During the walk, don't hesitate to stop at the Haag farmhouse inn to enjoy their local cuisine or to quench your thirst.
The Col de Rimbach and the Belacker from Moosch
Starting from the Mine d'Argent campsite in Moosch, a beautiful circular route through the beautiful forests of the Vosges. At the Col de Rimbach, there is a beautiful view of the Masevaux valley and the Ballon d'Alsace mountain range. At Belacker, there is a beautiful panorama of the Grand Ballon massif and a beautiful view of the Alsace plain.
The Blaufels shelter through the Willer-Bitschwiller forest

A beautiful hike, done in January. You'll discover the snow-covered ridge road and the ridge trail, which is a pleasure to walk along!
Snowshoe route of the Markstein inns
This route offers beautiful panoramic views (in good weather) and, for food lovers, three stops at inns.
Allow three hours of walking (bearing in mind that we took our time to take photos and admire the scenery), without stopping at any of the three inns.
Markstein-Lac de la Lauch-Col d'Oberlauchen-Col d'Hahnenbrunnen-Trehkopf
The first half of the route, up to (5), is wooded, which is pleasant in hot weather. The second part, however, follows theGR®5in open country. There are no major difficulties, except perhaps the slightly steep climb to the Col d'Oberlauchen.
There are beautiful views during this hike, particularly at the Col d'Oberlauchen, then all along theGR®5and at the summit of the Trehkopft.

A walk around Markstein on a typical Vosges ridge.
This route has all the ingredients for a great hike in the Vosges mountains, including panoramic views of the peaks and valleys, well-marked trails laid out by the Club Vosgien, including over thatch, and visits to a number of farm inns.
In the vicinity of Markstein
A circuit mostly on stubble fields. There is little elevation gain, the trails are marked, and there are two farm inns and a restaurant along the way. There are beautiful views from the stubble fields. Many activities other than hiking: summer tobogganing, hang gliding, meals at farm inns, skiing in winter.
