Bochaine walks

A remarkable circuit on the Ceüse mountain.

A varied loop in the Baronnies Provençales, which runs through pretty gorges and then to a summit with beautiful panoramic views.

The Circuit des Évêques (named after a place you will pass near) is a very popular route in La Roche-des-Arnauds. It will allow you to discover the cable bridge and the Corréo plateau with interesting views of the Tête de Clappe, the Pic de Bure and the Pic de Ceüze. This circuit is also selected as a mountain bike circuit.

This loop runs along much of the foot of the Céüze cliff, then reaches the summit via the Pas du Loup before descending along the ridges.

The climb to Pic de l'Aigle is steep, but the view over the plains of La Batie Monsaléon and Savournon, as well as the surrounding peaks, Rocher de Beaumont, Arambre and Grand Ferrand, etc., is well worth the effort.

A short family hike in the Montmaur plain.

A pleasant circular walk that allows you to visit the beautiful hilltop village of Upaix from Laragne. A fairly shaded route that nevertheless offers some very pretty views.

Most of the walk is along the Canal du Drac, which allows you to discover many of the structures designed to channel and distribute water to the surrounding farms, and also offers sections with panoramic views.

This short hike offers panoramic views of the Gap valley and, above all, the Céüse mountain.

Hike around Furmeyer, best done in May or June, but can be done in any season. This trail combines botany and landscapes.

This is a half-day hike, either on foot or with snowshoes. Almost the entire route is through forest with clearings to enjoy the scenery and finish the climb to the Pertuis, which can be visited with a good torch. The return is via another pleasant path.

An easy route to climb above La Roche-des-Arnauds, passing under the cliffs of La Barre and along the bucolic banks of the Petit Buëch. With a panoramic view from the ruins of the tower.

A pleasant short hike, with the second part along the ridges above the ravines making for an enjoyable route.

The Riou gorges and their numerous pools offer a remarkable natural spectacle and a pleasant way to cool off. And as you approach the Jubéo pass, you might think you're on the road to the explosive film "The Wages of Fear".

A short family circular on the heights of La Roche-des-Arnauds, with waterfalls, a scenic path and, finally, the remains of a castle offering a view of the village!

A pleasant little walk above Gap, between the pine and oak forest, then along the Drac Canal. Without any difficulty, it offers a beautiful view of Céüse and the mountains south of Gap, including the Lure mountain.

Starting from Lake Pelleautier, enjoy a pleasant hike at the foot of Montagne de Céüse along the long forest road dominated by cliffs and offering superb panoramic views.

A short circular route near the centre of Gap, passing by the impressive Viaduc de la Selle (55 m high and 200 m long), an engineering structure on the railway line between Briançon and Veynes, then by the Aurouze family oratory on the small mountain of Pic Ponçon. This viewpoint offers a beautiful panorama of the Gap mountains and beyond: Céüze, Bure, Charance, Chaillol, Le Sirac, Les Autanes, Chabrières, as far as Morgon and the Alpes de Haute-Provence.

A magnificent circular route passing through three passes with Mediterranean vegetation. Sheltered from the wind and well exposed to the sun, this hike allows you to discover the heights of Veynes with beautiful views of the Buëch valley, even if some aerial passages can be impressive at the edge of ravines. It gives a good overview of the Veynois National Forest and the complex relief of the Buëch mountains. Starting from the small town of Veynes, this hike is easily accessible without a car!

A short walk above Gap, around the lake in the hamlet of Corréo (a water reserve for the Gap Canal, which is used for irrigation). This route offers pleasant scenery at the foot of the Charance and Céüse mountains.
