Between lakes and forest in Pleven
You will follow a very varied route, taking in a reservoir, a castle mound and the medieval Château de la Hunaudaye. Most of this hike takes place in woodland or fields.
Circular Tournemine along the Arguenon
A very pleasant circular route around the Arguenon with many wooded sections. The route is sometimes steep and strewn with rocks. There is a series of viewpoints over the river, some of which are magnificent.
The dam and the Chapel of Saint-Sébastien
In the past, the bed of the Frémur stream was used as a path for carts and horsemen. Part of this route is the Templar route, which also used this path.

Passing by Pointe Saint-Efficace in Matignon
Right from the start, you will travel back in time. You will discover a medieval motte-and-bailey castle, then jump back a few centuries further to discover the Guerches, the ancestors of motte-and-bailey castles. Before reaching Pointe Saint-Efficace, you will pass the ruins of a watermill, then those of a tide mill and finally an old tide mill. As you walk along the sea, you will see Fort La Latte. On the way back, the Chapelle Saint-Germain is worth a detour.
From Saint-Pabu beach to the port of Erquy
This walk, from Saint-Pabu beach to the port of Erquy via the coastal path, allows you to discover lovely beaches as well as the port of Erquy.
The Route des Marins
The Route des Marins is a nature walk. This is partly due to its sections in the countryside and along the GR®34, but also because of all the sections passing through the town, mostly following flower-lined paths and lanes between the villas and neighbourhoods of Pléneuf-Val-André.
You’ll make your way around the harbour, between the GR®34, along the channel, Notre-Dame de la Garde and the chapel of Dahouët.

Pléneuf-Val-André Golf Course Walk
A short nature walk around the golf course, alternating between wooded sections inland and bushy paths on the GR®34, offering, once on the latter, several views of the Pléneuve coastline. It is an ideal hike for a short family outing.
Promenade des Vallées in Pléneuf-Val-André
Half countryside, half coastline, the Vallées walk will show you the natural beauty of Pléneuf-Val-André in many different forms. Walk alongside the golf course and follow the Vélomaritime cycle route through peaceful fields and woods, accompanied by the sound of songbirds, then round off your walk in style by following our section of the Côte de Penthièvre along the GR®34. Beaches, the bay and cliffs will unfold before your eyes, making for a return journey rich in panoramic views.
Baie de la Fresnaye towards Saint-Cast
This route will introduce you to Fresnaye Bay with its changing light, oyster beds and Fort la Latte. It is worth doing at low tide and high tide, as the view of the bay, the colours and the atmosphere will be so different. By combining part of this walk with the "Baie de la Fresnaye and Moulin de la Mer" walk already described on this site, it is very easy to plan a day trip.

This short hike allows you to discover the southern part of Fresnaye Bay with its colours and lighting changing with the tides, the Moulin de la Mer site, the village of Saint-Germain de la Mer, and views of Fort La Latte.
Circular route starting from the village of Les Hôpitaux near Erquy
A lovely walk starting from the village of Les Hôpitaux, between sea and countryside in the eastern part of Erquy, offering views of Îlot Saint-Michel, Les Sables d'Or and Cap Fréhel. Continue along the Islet to the Montafilan dam.
Sables d'Or les Pins to Cap d'Erquy from Erquy
This beautiful route starts from the beach at Erquy, first taking in the narrow streets of the village and then the quiet lanes, before leading back to the sea at the end of the Anse des Sables d'Or. After that, it runs along the coast, from beach to beach, taking us back to the port, crossing the moor and skirting the rocks. From the top of the cliffs or at wave level, this trail offers breathtaking and varied views of this magnificent coastline.

An easy route to discover the ruins of a mill, enhanced by magnificent views of the sea and the cliffs of Cap Fréhel.
Walk at Pointe de Pléneuf
This short, gentle walk along the cliffside, with its ups and downs, will allow you to discover the wilder side of Pointe de Pléneuf, culminating in a beautiful view of Île du Verdelet and Pléneuf-Val André.
Around Saint-Lormel
Between the Arguenon and the Guébriand, you’ll discover the banks of an estuary, a windmill, small villages that have retained all their charm, a chapel, an old church, its calvary and its yew tree. Castles hidden away in lush greenery will emerge as you round a bend in the woods.
Lacs Bleus and Pointe d'Erquy
A walk along the Pointe d'Erquy, following part of theGR®34.
Starting from the beach, climb the steps leading to the lakes, which are blue in name only but are a curiosity nonetheless.
The view from the point is magnificent, but you will have to share it with many other walkers.
Promenade de la Guette
This short walk between the GR®34 and the harbour is a must-do in Pléneuf-Val-André. Ideal for discovering various aspects of the resort, you can first explore its heritage by strolling through its streets, around the harbour and along the lake, then admire it whilst walking along the GR® trail, where you’ll enjoy superb views of Val André Beach and Le Verdelet.
The Port of Dahouet in Pléneuf-Val-André
Hike on the town side to the north and the wild side to the south on the heights of Dahouet, taking the coastal path. This walk reveals a typical little Breton port.
Coastal walk in Dahouët
More of a stroll than a hike, this walk starting from the charming port of Dahouët takes you along theGR®34coastal path. The cliff-top trail offers magnificent views all along the way, set amidst lush greenery. During this outing, as well as the harbour, you can admire the Dahouët Oratory, enjoy picture-postcard scenery and discover a restored guardhouse, a reminder that you are walking along the old customs officers’ path.

Circular of the Arguenon via the Moulin de Lorgeril bridge
A pleasant walk along the Arguenon downstream from Jugon-les-Lacs, following the water's edge, with a few difficult sections. Suitable in all seasons, but take care in heavy rain.

Saint Michel Chapel in Erquy
A pleasant little walk, but the chapel is only accessible at low tide, so you need to calculate the time available before crossing. The ford is a little difficult to cross due to large rocks. The chapel is open to visitors and an association called "Les Amis de la Chapelle Saint-Michel" is responsible for its renovation and maintenance.
Tour of Cap d'Erquy via the beaches
This route goes around the tip of Cap d'Erquy via the beaches on the north side and passes by the old pink sandstone quarries on the south side.These quarries were in operation until 1974 and date back to the 18th century. A superb walk, especially in good weather, which is often the case. The route is lined with gorse and broom, which you may be lucky enough to see in bloom. The northern part of the route is a little wilder and more exposed to the wind, but at high tide the waves are a magnificent sight.
The Château Serein and Fort La Latte
The Bay of La Fresnaye is one of the most beautiful sites on the Emerald Coast. Sheltered from the prevailing winds, a balcony path winds its way through sparse groves of ash, pine and flowering gorse on the slopes of the small cliffs on the western shore of the bay.
The hike starts at the small hidden beach of Château Serein, follows this balcony trail offering beautiful views of the bay, passes through the tiny port of Saint-Géran and ends at the tip of Fort La Latte.
Tour of Lake Arguenon
The walk around Lac de l’Arguenon allows you to discover the full beauty of the Breton countryside through a wooded route. Dotted with steep rocky outcrops, the path offers a succession of magnificent views.

Tour of the lake at Jugon-les-Lacs
The route follows the shaded shores of the lake, small gravel roads and a few short stretches of quiet roads.It will take you through villages with old houses, often beautifully restored.To round off your walk, you can explore the streets and alleyways of the village, following the stream alongside which the wash houses have been restored.
Cap Fréhel and Fort La Latte from Plévenon
After a few kilometres through the Plévenon countryside, you will come to the sea with Saint-Brieuc Bay on your left and Cap Fréhel on your right. Once you have passed Cap Fréhel and Fort la Latte, you will discover Saint Malo Bay and Fresnaye Bay. Gorse, heather and oak trees of various species line the coastal part of the path.
Stop for a moment at Cap Fréhel to discover the colonies of birds nesting on the rocks.

A short hike combining magnificent views of Baie de la Fresnaye, the Plévenon countryside and the hamlets of La Motte and La Ville Tourin.
