(S/E) Follow Rue de la Feuillade, then turn left onto Rue Lepesant. Continue left onto Rue des Vallets.
(1) At the junction, turn right onto Rue du Port Jacquet, continuing along Rue de L’Isle and then along the cycle path running alongside Boulevard de la Côte d’Émeraude and Boulevard de Penthièvre. After about 3 km, you’ll reach a star-shaped junction on a right-hand bend.
(2) Carry on straight ahead along Rue des Rochettes. Pass the supermarket on your right and, at the junction, continue straight on along the old narrow-gauge railway line (cycle path; closed to all motorised vehicles). Follow it to the end (entrance to Matignon).
(3) At the roundabout, enter the shopping centre car park, cross it and exit onto the D786. Follow it to the left for 500 metres, then turn right (towards the recycling centre and the industrial estate).
(4) At the junction, on the corner by the recycling centre, turn left (following the ‘Voie Europe 4’ cycle route signs). Cross a T-junction with a traffic island, then cross the Pont Quinteux stream. At the next ‘Stop’ sign, continue straight ahead and cross Rue de la Croix Chauvel to follow Rue de la Halte and join Rue du Guébriant (D19).
(5) Carry on straight ahead towards the nurseries on Rue Harrel de la Noë. At the next junction (no entry, except for residents), carry on straight ahead until you reach the D786.

(8) Turn right onto Boulevard du Rougeret, then take Boulevard du Chevet to reach Pointe du Chevet.
(9) Return from the headland and take Chemin Saint-Christophe, the second right after the car park. After the cemetery, turn right onto Rue de l’Abbaye and follow it to the beachfront. Continue left onto Rue des Hass, then right onto Rue des Écluses. Carry on along Boulevard de la Banche and return to the junction with the fishing boat.
(8) Turn right onto the D62, Boulevard des Dunes, and continue until you reach a roundabout.
(10) Carry on straight ahead and, a few metres further on, turn right onto Boulevard du Vieux Château (a dead-end road). Pass Rue du Vieux Château and reach a three-way junction about a hundred metres further on.
(11) Turn left onto Chemin du Petit Train, rejoin Rue du Vieux Château (which you took on the way there) and follow the road back to the junction after the René Pléven Bridge.
(6) Continue along the D786. At the left-hand bend, turn right onto Rue du Val towards Château du Val. Follow this road, ignoring the turnings to the right and left, until you reach Quatre Vaux Beach.
(12) Carry on along the road; at the next junction, turn right to reach a four-way junction with a chapel on your left.
