Park in the church square.
(S/E) Cross the D792 and head towards Place de Martray.
(1) Continue straight ahead and take the D60. Pass in front of the Sevoy Hotel and arrive at the dyke.
(2) Take the path on the left on the dyke. At the end of the dyke, turn right onto the D52 until you reach the Sports et Nature car park. At the car park entrance, follow the path to the footbridge over the fishing area.
(3) Turn left onto the path that climbs up to the D52 road.
(4) Cross the road and continue along the path opposite. At the exit of the woods, follow the mountain bike route at the intersection. Continue to the calvary at the entrance to Saint-Maudez.
(5) Turn right, then left along the farm buildings. Continue straight ahead until you reach the first path on your right.
(6) Take this path, leaving the mountain bike trail, and head to the right bank of the Étang de Jugon lake.
(7) Follow the lake, leaving it at the intersection to turn right onto the hiking trail. At the junction of the mountain bike and hiking trails, leave the mountain bike route on your right and take the small path opposite on the left that goes uphill. You will arrive at the road.
(8) Turn right and descend to the lake. Continue left along the edge of the stream feeding the lake. You will reach another fork.
(9) Here you have two options:
- take the short 13 km route, crossing the small wooden bridge and then turning right and following the lake shore for the return journey. Access is not possible during wet weather (tail end of the lake).
- take the 18 km long route, leaving the small bridge on your right and going up to the left, following the mountain bike trail markings. This is the option described below.
Head towards the first houses in the hamlet of Locriac.
(10) Turn right onto the path. Continue along this path until you reach the village of Manière.
(11) In the village, take the road on your right. You will reach the Rosette stream.
(12) Cross the bridge, turn right and pass the houses of La Butte. After a sharp left turn, you will reach the village of Pengave.
(13) Take the road on the right to Ville Anquetin.
At the village exit, 100 metres opposite, there is a chapel and a "sacred" oak tree that are worth a detour.
(14) Retrace your steps to the road to rejoin the route. Continue along it, turning left. Continue to Ville ès Buret.
(15) In the village, turn right onto the path that descends towards the lake. Now walk along the left bank of the lake. At the confluence with the Rieule river, continue on to the village of Échaussée Haye.
(16) Turn right. The path leads back to the lake; follow it again on the left bank until you reach the crossroads at the dyke.
(2) Retrace your steps.
(17) Turn left onto Rue du Four
Continue along this street until you reach Rue de la Petite Chaussée. Continue along this road until you reach Rue de Penthièvre.
(18) Take this street on your right and continue to the first crossroads.
(1) Follow the same route back to the car park at Place de l'Église (S/E).
