In the Ringeldorf woods and the hills of Morschwiller
This pleasant hike offers a mosaic of landscapes and some of the most photogenic views in the area. Along the route, you will come across an old vineyard shelter. At Geiersberg, a Napoleonic bench made of Vosges sandstone allows you to enjoy the panorama at an altitude of 261 m: the Haguenau Forest and the Outre-Forêt are part of the scenery. From the heights of Morschwiller, you can look out over the Alsace plain, with views stretching from the Northern Vosges to the Black Forest.
The Stocklach Grand Route
From Uberach to the charming village of Mietesheim, through the undivided forest of Haguenau and along the Neubourg camp, this route will take you through majestic oak and beech trees and highlight the forest's military past and present.
Tour of Ringendorf in the Hanau region

You will walk mainly on paths and through a deciduous forest, enjoying the early spring sunshine but staying in the shade in summer.
Sparsbach: via Englishberg and Ochsenstall
A pleasant hike to stretch your legs. Ideal in early May when nature is waking up. Passes by an impressive rocky outcrop (beautiful view) and caves. Most of the walk is in the shade and the hike follows a river on the last part of the route. Also pleasant in the height of summer.

The Niederwald Forest and the Sauer Valley below Mont de Gunstett
A pleasant hike through the Niederwald forest and the Sauer valley, ending below Mont de Gunstett. In addition to the beautiful landscapes seen from the vast clearings in the forest or when crossing the Sauer plain, this route offers views of beautiful wash houses in Oberdorf-Spachbach and Gunstett, as well as fine examples of traditional Alsatian architecture.
The Haguenau-Eschbach Grand Tour
Historical heritage meets natural heritage on this route to the north-west of the undivided forest, which will take you through pine forests and deciduous woodlands, across fields and through the charming village of Eschbach, which runs along the edge of the forest.

The Sandhaas walk between Haguenau and Schweighouse-sur-Moder
Follow the Sandhaas through the town, fields and forest in the heart of the Moder Valley, between Haguenau and Schweighouse-sur-Moder. Sandhaas – sand hare – is the nickname given to the inhabitants of Haguenau when Alsace was under the authority of the German Empire, due to the large number of hares in this part of the region with its very sandy soil.

Head to Walbourg and the start of the GR®532 from the centre of Haguenau and set off to explore the heritage of the undivided forest along this trail, which is part of the Way of St James.
Le Grand Wintersberg
Circular hike starting from the Celtic spring with ascent of the Grand Wintersberg, 581 m, the highest point in the Northern Vosges, and return via the Col de la Liese chalet (belonging to the Club Vosgien) and the Heidenkopf shelter.

A pleasant forest trail that leads without much effort to the highest point in the Northern Vosges, where a tower built at the end of the 19th century offers extensive panoramic views. Less popular, the Celtic camp site is not without charm.
Castles, rocks and remains of the Maginot Line in the Northern Vosges
This is a large circular hike starting from Jaegerthal, the birthplace of the De Dietrich family, with its castle, park and the remains of the first forge near the car park. It is a long but peaceful hike, with a succession of small "bumps" and dotted with numerous fortified castles and remarkable rocks. The first part follows the "Sentier de la Ligne Maginot" (Maginot Line Trail) with a succession of bunkers in a surprisingly good state of preservation.

Domaniale Forest and Grand Étang de Mouterhouse
A pleasant little hike in the Mouterhouse National Forest and along the banks of the Grand Étang lake in the same locality. After enjoying the calm of the forest with its beautiful straight trees and good quality paths, the end of the hike takes place along the Grand Étang lake, where you can admire the spectacle of numerous fishermen on their pontoons.
