Park at the Sonnenberg picnic area at the end of the paved lane located almost opposite the Sotravest building on Rue de Zinswiller.
(S/E) From the Sonnenberg area, head towards "Weisse Birke via the eastern slope of the Immenkopf".
Blue Loop
(1) Turn left towards "Weisse Birke" and continue along the forest path for about 200 metres.
Red Triangle
(2) Take the narrow marked path on the left towards "Weisse Birke - Col de l'Ungerthal". This path winds its way up to a first forest path. Continue straight ahead following the signs for "Grand Chêne - Immenkopf", pass a second forest path and reach Grand Chêne.
(3) Continue along the forest path to reach the summit of the Iimmenkopf (bench).
(4) Continue towards "Weisse Birke - Col de l'Ungerthal" down the forest path and follow the markings to reach the Weisse Birke star-shaped crossroads.
(5) Turn right onto the forest path marked "Col de l'Ungerthal" and follow it.
Red rectangleGR®53
(6) Turn left onto the forest path marked "Holdereck Grunschaft" (GR®53), leaving the Club Vosgien shelter and picnic area on your right, to reach the Holdereck Pass (bench).
Red Ring
(7) Cross the forest road and take the forest path opposite, marked "Grunschaft - Grand Arnsbourg", and continue uphill to reach the Grunschaft crossroads (picnic area).
Yellow Cross
(8) Turn left and continue along the Grunschaft forest path marked "Belvédère du Michelskopf Lisenthal", crossing the Daumen-Linsenthal forest road.
(9) Go straight ahead to join the Kopf forest path and reach the Michelskopf circular trail junction.
Green Loop
(10) Take either of the two paths that make up the circular route to reach the Michelskopf viewpoint (bench): view of the village of Zinswiller.
(11) Complete the circular around the rock piles that form the summit of Michelskopf to return to the circular trail junction.
Croix Jaune
(10) Turn right onto the narrow forest path marked "Linsenthal", which descends in steep switchbacks, crossing two paths before reaching a wide gravel forest path.
No markings
Turn left onto this path and follow it for about 50 metres.
(12) Turn right onto a narrow path towards the Linsenthal pond. Pass between the two parts of the pond and you will reach a picnic area and a wooden shelter.
Markings: red rectangle with white stripe
After the shelter, turn left for about 150 metres. Then turn right onto the parallel forest path, which is very grassy and quite long, and ends in a small ravine that appears to be a dead end.
(13) Turn left between some shrubs (Visorando route useful) into a small ravine that leads to the yellow ring-marked forest path, which forms a V at this point and overlooks it by several metres. Stay in line with the small ravine, passing between shrubs, ferns and a carpet of dead leaves for about 100 m. The final section (50 m) is wide and open.
Anneau Jaune
(14) Turn right at the exit of the small ravine. The return route follows a wide, almost flat forest path which you follow straight ahead to the starting point at the Sonneberg picnic area (S/E).
