This 50 km bike ride offers a bucolic immersion along the banks of the Sambre, starting from Bachant. You will reach Leval, then Saint-Rémy-du-Nord, crossing peaceful and green landscapes. The route takes you to the port of Hautmont, perfect for a friendly break by the water. An ideal loop for combining relaxation, nature and local flora and fauna.

What's in store: after a short kilometer of uphill northern cobblestones to warm up your calves, you'll plunge into the Thun l'Evèque marshland before following the Escaut and Sensée canals along the towpaths. This walk takes you on a journey of discovery through the Harchies marshes, following the towpath of the old Antoing-Pommerœul canal, joining the RAVeL cycle path on the former railway line between Blaton and Bernissart, going around Lake Bernissart and finally taking you into the countryside on the old railway line (not developed) that connected the Sartis coal mine to Bernissart station.

Short walk along a small section of the Ravel and around the bottom of the Levant slag heap. You will see the Levant site and the remains of the old coal mine.If you're feeling brave, you can climb up there.

Take the time to visit the Notre Dame de Mouligneau chapel, which is magnificent. Stay on the paths and remember that if you have a dog with you, it must be kept on a leash.
