Departure point and car park: Clarke Barracks in Landrecies.
(S/E) With your back to the barracks, turn left onto Avenue de la Légion d'Honneur.
(1) After the Sambre Canal bridge, turn left onto Avenue Dumey and continue along Rue des Nerviens. Turn right onto Rue de l'Inde Française, then straight on to Résidence du Bel Horizon and finally Avenue du 11 Novembre 1918.
(2) Turn right onto Avenue du 8 Mai 1945. Continue straight ahead on Avenue de France. When you reach the main road, turn left.
(3) After passing the cemetery, take thefirst left onto Chemin du Préseau and drive past the hamlet.
(4) At the fork, turn left onto Chemin de Bruneau. Take care on the bends and keep to the right. Continue straight ahead on Chemin Dame Marguerite. In Maroilles, pass Ferme de Catillon, continue straight ahead towards Moulin des Prés and cross the Helpe Mineure.
(5) Cross the Croix Robosse bridge over the Fossé Quarré and continue straight on Rue du Lieutenant to reach the centre of the village of Maroilles.
(6) Turn right onto Grande Rue, then left onto the second street, Rue du Moulin. Pass in front of the Maroilles mill, cross the Helpe and continue straight on Rue de la Basse until you reach the Basse Maroilles fork, ignoring the streets on either side.
(7) Turn left onto Chemin de le Favril to reach a four-way intersection.
(8) Continue straight ahead on the GR® de Pays Tour de l'Avesnois, marked in yellow and red. Continue straight ahead until the next crossroads.
(9) Turn right towards La Boufflette, leaving the GRP®. Pass the hamlet and continue straight ahead until you reach the D959 near point 3. Turn left, pass the cemetery again and cross the D934.
(10) Turn left onto Rue de la Folie, then takethe first right onto Rue d'Avesnes. At the roundabout, take thethird exit on the right onto Boulevard Vauban, continuing to the Canal de la Sambre and then Avenue de la Légion d'Honneur.
(1) Turn left to return to your starting point (S/E).
