Park in the car park at the Preux-au-Bois pond
(S/E) From the car park at the lake, head towards the church. Continue straight ahead, pass the old post office and then immediately turn right onto Rue de la Fontaine, a dead-end street. At the end, take the gravel path on the right.
(1) Turn right at the first "cache" and you will come out on Rue d'Hecq. Go up this road on the left and, at the bend, turn right onto Rue de la Grimpette. This path, lined with pollarded hornbeams, leads to a small road. Note the automatic cattle trough in the pasture. At the crossroads, continue right until you reach the forest opposite a water tower.
(2) Turn left, then left again. Pass in front of the Maison Forestière de la Tenure and then the entrance to the campsite.
After the barrier, turn between plots 750 and 752 onto Laie des Brûlés. Cut across the Route Forestière du Pont à Chiens.
(3) At the crossroads, cross the Route Duhamel, then, about 20 metres further on, turn right and head for the Quesne à Marrones crossroads.
(4) Turn right onto Route du Pont towards the Arboretum and Étang David. After 500 metres, take the footpath on the left that runs parallel to the road and you will come out on the right opposite Étang David. Go around the pond on the left and pick up the path again.
(5) Turn left to join Route de la Fontaine.
(6) Take the forest road on the right and continue straight ahead. Cross Route Duhamel. Just after, at plot 834, a path on the right leads to Fontaine le Comte.
(7) Turn back and continue to the right.
(8) After plot 820, turn right onto the first path.
(9) At plot 809, continue to the left and, at plot 810, to the right. Leave the forest.
(10) Take Rue de Landrecies opposite. Ignore a path on the right.
(11) Go down Ruelle d'Avignon on the right. At the bottom, turn left to return to the pond car park (S/E).
