Park in the car park near the church on Rue Luton.

(S/E) Stand with your back to the church of Avesnes-en-Avesnois. Take Rue de la Turquerie on your left, then continue straight ahead at the fork with Rue Pasteur. At the intersection with Ruelle Denet, turn left and continue to Rue de la Barres.

(1) Turn left, then at the junction with Rue du Maréchal Foch, follow Rue Basse straight ahead. At the corner of Rue du Moulin à Salesches, turn right onto Rue Georges Caffiaux.

(2) Turn left, then right onto Place Roger Salengro. At the crossroads with Ruelle de Garde, turn left towards the church, then take Ruelle de l'Église until it ends.

(3) At the intersection with Chemin de Beaudignies, turn right, then left onto Rue du Quesnoy. Ignore the first turn on the right. When you reach the D68B, turn right and drive carefully along the side of the road until you reach the intersection with Chemin du Cateau.

(4) Take this road on the right, cross Chemin de Poix-du-Nord with caution and continue straight ahead on Rue du Viterlan. At the fork, turn left onto the path, then join Rue Notre-Dame in Poix-du-Nord and Rue Keighley.

(5) Turn left, leaving the alley on your left. At the junction with Rue Henri Roland, go straight ahead. At the next bend, leave the main road and follow a path heading east. At the junction with Rue du Quesnoy, continue straight ahead until you reach Rue des Warennes.

(6) Turn right, then left onto Rue du Croissant. At Rue du Coucou, turn left, then immediately right onto Rue Saint-Georges. After a right turn, you will reach Rue de Warennes.

(7) Follow Rue de Warennes on the left, ignore the road on the right and continue along Rue Pasteur, passing two streets on your left. At the intersection with Rue de l'Église, turn left and continue along Rue de la Chasse, then Chemin Williot (Résidence des Prés) until you reach a T-junction.

(8) Turn right onto Chemin du Bois de Poix, then turn left. Ignore the path on the left and, at the intersection with Chemin du Quesnoy, continue straight ahead on Rue Caudron in Vendegies-aux-Bois until you reach Grand'Rue.

(9) Turn right onto Grand’Rue, ignoring two streets on the left. Just after the Écurie du Peuplier, turn right onto a path and follow it to the intersection with Rue de Neuville. Turn right towards Point d’Arrêt, then, after a left-hand bend, continue for about 100 m.

(10) At the Canton de la Motte crossroads, continue straight ahead, then take Rue Caudron on the left. At the crossroads, turn left, then immediately right onto a path. Further on, turn right onto Chemin du Haut du Mesnil to join a cross road

(11) Turn right, leaving a path on your left. At the fork in Rue Maréchal Foch in Neuville-en-Avesnois, turn left, then at the crossroads with Rue Luton, turn right to return to the church car park. ( S/E)

The route is easy but not signposted. The terrain is stony, grassy and earthy, with some asphalt. Wear suitable footwear.
