Migennes walks

This pleasant circuit offers beautiful views of the town of Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, thanks to its small climbs. The path across woodland provides shade on one-third of the route during sunny weather.

This looping route in and around Rosoy takes in the countryside around Sens, alternating between farmland and woodland. It offers beautiful views of the Yonne valley, as well as the city of Sens and its Cathedral of Saint-Étienne, the first Gothic cathedral. There is also a water collection aqueduct. Don't forget that some of the rivers in the Sénonais region supply Paris with drinking water.

All along the route, you will discover centenaries trees, educational signs about the chestnut tree.

Fancy a charming and informative ride? Hop on your mountain bike and set off to discover the four single-vineyard wines of Domaine Verret!Along the way, scan the QR codes on small wooden posts to learn more about each plot: grape variety, history, winemaking techniques, and more. You will pass by "Les Gaudiers", a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, then "Les Mazelots", dominated by Pinot Noir, the star grape variety of our eponymous Irancy wine.You will then cross "Palotte", our oldest vineyard, rich in secrets and character, before reaching "Veaupiary", planted exclusively with Sauvignon, which produces our Saint-Bris of the same name. A getaway combining nature, heritage and a passion for wine, ideal for the curious and wine lovers alike! The hike starts from the estate car park, so you can enjoy a well-deserved tasting on your return.

Open to all, with free access from 26 May to 21 September, the Chemins d'Artistes 2024 organised by the Ruban Vert allows visitors to admire around forty works by national and local artists, children's works and works of nature.It passes through the Arènes du Bocage, a former chalk quarry that was almost turned into a landfill but was saved by the municipality of Égriselles-le-Bocage and became an open-air theatre. It too has inspired many artists and is set to remain beyond 2024.

Reserved for walkers and cyclists, this easy loop in a calm setting will allow you to explore the Sens vine conservatory comprising more than 600 plants of 30 grape different varieties, before returning via the banks of the Yonne. Signposted route N° 76This route starts from Toucy, birthplace of Pierre Larousse, 19th-century grammarian, lexicographer and educator. It offers multiple viewpoints and panoramas along ridge lines. The sunken paths winding under a dense canopy of vegetation create a romantic atmosphere that you're sure to enjoy. Then, at the bend in the path, you'll fall under the spell of the magnificent Château d'Arthé.

Between the longer hikes around Toucy and the discovery of down-town, this walk allows you to gain heigh in order to contemplate this screen of greenery which surrounds the village. These paths, oftenly traveled, offered a great diversity.

This hike was created with the aim of finding the old aeronautical lighthouse in the woods, which was used for night flights by the Aéropostale in the 1930s! The route is fairly simple and fairly clear. You are sure to see horses and deer, and enjoy the panoramic views.
