Migennes walks

Long walk on flat ground, along the Joigny diversion canal to Cézy and back along the Yonne. Easy, peaceful route with the opportunity to spot wild birds such as wild ducks, cormorants and even wild swans.

The path reveals the intertwining of the forest and human activities, agricultural enclaves, hamlets, logging areas, always close to the majestic atmosphere of the forest. From the top of these tall trees, centuries contemplate us. It also shows the first impacts of climate change, with dry ponds, emaciated trees and new species. It invites us to give the forest back its freedom to adapt and migrate at its own pace, to let it take control. The trail aims to restore a sense of confidence in what nature and the forest can achieve with and even without us. It is this forest that the Ruban Vert wishes to help migrate to the next forest massifs of the woods and ponds of the Gâtinais in Burgundy.

Animal-themed walking trail created by Year 4-6 pupils at Villevallier Primary School in June 2015 as part of the "Un chemin, une école" (One trail, one school) initiative run by the Yonne branch of the French Hiking Federation.

You will discover the village of Cerisiers, the old brick dryer and the Villechétive stud farm. It is a beautiful walk in the forest with a recommended detour to Les Brissots, a museum and cider producer.

This pleasant circuit offers beautiful views of the town of Villeneuve-sur-Yonne, thanks to its small climbs. The path across woodland provides shade on one-third of the route during sunny weather.

Marked route No. 88.Located on a hill, Pourrain offers many sporting activities, including this route which takes you through a very hilly area between woods and fields, valleys and plateaus dotted with springs. Beautiful views of the Puisaye, Forterre and Auxerrois regions enhance this outing.

Eleven hamlets, each more charming than the last, and four fountains to discover in the footsteps of Joan of Arc.

This looping route in and around Rosoy takes in the countryside around Sens, alternating between farmland and woodland. It offers beautiful views of the Yonne valley, as well as the city of Sens and its Cathedral of Saint-Étienne, the first Gothic cathedral. There is also a water collection aqueduct. Don't forget that some of the rivers in the Sénonais region supply Paris with drinking water.

All along the route, you will discover centenaries trees, educational signs about the chestnut tree.

Fancy a charming and informative ride? Hop on your mountain bike and set off to discover the four single-vineyard wines of Domaine Verret!Along the way, scan the QR codes on small wooden posts to learn more about each plot: grape variety, history, winemaking techniques, and more. You will pass by "Les Gaudiers", a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, then "Les Mazelots", dominated by Pinot Noir, the star grape variety of our eponymous Irancy wine.You will then cross "Palotte", our oldest vineyard, rich in secrets and character, before reaching "Veaupiary", planted exclusively with Sauvignon, which produces our Saint-Bris of the same name. A getaway combining nature, heritage and a passion for wine, ideal for the curious and wine lovers alike! The hike starts from the estate car park, so you can enjoy a well-deserved tasting on your return.

A beautiful walk through the hillsides of Chablis, among the world-renowned premier and grand cru vineyards. Pass through the town of Chablis, home to numerous wine cellars. Unlike wine tasting, this walk can be enjoyed without moderation.

Marked route No. 114.Discover the remains of open-air ochre pits and mines, the Sauilly ochre factory and its drying kiln.

This hike offers beautiful views of the Yonne valley and a bucolic stroll through vineyards, cherry orchards and along the banks of the Yonne. It will give you a breath of fresh air and allow you to get to know the unusual village of Bailly.

Reserved for walkers and cyclists, this easy loop in a calm setting will allow you to explore the Sens vine conservatory comprising more than 600 plants of 30 grape different varieties, before returning via the banks of the Yonne. Along the way, you’ll also find a sports circuit with gym apparatus, and a golf driving range.

In the land of fruit trees, a walk through the valleys and hills. Sunken paths, springs, viewpoints and built heritage enhance this outing.

This very natural outing allows you to discover the landscaped paths, shaped by man over the centuries. It allows, with some beautiful viewpoints, to discover the Puisaye and the town of Toucy, nestled against a hill.

Signposted route N° 76This route starts from Toucy, birthplace of Pierre Larousse, 19th-century grammarian, lexicographer and educator. It offers multiple viewpoints and panoramas along ridge lines. The sunken paths winding under a dense canopy of vegetation create a romantic atmosphere that you're sure to enjoy. Then, at the bend in the path, you'll fall under the spell of the magnificent Château d'Arthé.

Between the longer hikes around Toucy and the discovery of down-town, this walk allows you to gain heigh in order to contemplate this screen of greenery which surrounds the village. These paths, oftenly traveled, offered a great diversity.

Marked trail No. 17A trail that smells of trogne trees. This tree, emblematic of field edges and woods, which for years has fed animals and heated homes in the Poyaudine region, can be found in countless numbers along this trail.On both the outward and return journeys, you will enjoy a wonderful discovery of the streets and alleys of Old Toucy.

Starting from the central car park on Place des Frères Genêt, you will discover the fishing lake and leisure centre very close to the town centre, offering a magnificent panorama. Crossing woods and medieval streets, stop at the promontory overlooking Place de la République, dominated by the bust of Pierre Larousse, and enjoy exceptional views of this village, whose existence has been documented since the middle ofthe 3rd century.

At the heart of a Natura 2000 site, this circuit of just under 1.5 km will take you on a journey to discover this exceptional natural heritage, thanks to nine thematic panels scattered along the route. You can also enjoy a breathtaking view of Sens and its Saint-Étienne Cathedral, as well as the Yonne Valley.
