Mont Chauvot

The route starts at the Croix d'Arnault.

(S/E) Cross the D20 with care and head straight ahead along the wide path, keeping the aerodrome on your left. Take the next path on the right through the woodland until you reach the Fork in the road.

(1) Continue along the path furthest to the left and carry on straight ahead down a long, gentle descent until you reach the^second path on the right.

(2) Ignore the path on the right that goes downhill and continue straight on, ignoring a path on the left that goes uphill just after. Continue straight on until you reach a cross path. Turn left and continue uphill until you reach another cross path. Turn right until you reach the next path on the right.

(3) Turn right and continue down the slope until you reach a road. Follow it to the crossroads.

(4) Cross with care and continue straight on down a steep slope for a few metres, then take the^first path on the left, which soon leads onto a road. Continue straight on and, a little further on, take Rue Georges Duhamel on the left, which climbs up to a crossroad. First turn right then left and continue along Rue Jean Giraudoux until you reach another crossroad.

(5) Turn left onto Rue Marcel Aimé and go uphill to the junction. Cross with care and head straight on until the end of the road. From there, continue along a path until you reach a crossroad. Turn left onto the road and follow it to the next junction. Cross with care and head straight on until the end of the road. Continue along the path until you reach a cross path.

(6) Turn left, ignoring the path on the right that goes uphill just after this. Continue straight on and, much further on, take the path that goes uphill to the right, lined with trees for a few metres, until you reach the orientation table (the Belvédère).

(7) Turn right onto a wide path until you reach a cross path. Turn left, ignoring the path on the right immediately after. Continue straight on, ignoring a path on the left shortly afterwards, and carry on to the four-way junction. Turn right until you reach the D20. Turn right, keeping well to the right-hand verge for a few metres until the next path on the right.

(8) Turn right onto the track, following it shortly afterwards to the right and further on to the left until you reach a cross-track. Turn right until you reach a road. Turn left onto the road, passing the hamlet of Les Colettes, and continue down the hill, taking the next path on the left. Continue up the hill, ignoring a path on the right and then one on the left shortly afterwards, and carry on until you reach the next path on the left.

(9) Turn left and continue uphill, taking the next path on the left and the next on the right, then continue a gentle climb, ignoring a path on the right shortly afterwards. Continue straight on and, further on, take the next path on the right, which descends slightly for a few metres and joins a wide cross-path.

(10) Head right down a slight descent and take the next path which climbs up on the left-hand side. Take the next path on the right, continuing shortly afterwards to the left, and carry on, ignoring a path on the right and left further on, and continue to the next wide path on the right.

(11) Turn right and head downhill, ignoring a path on the right a little further on, and take the next path on the left until you reach the four-way junction.

(12) Turn right, taking the next wide path on the left and ignoring a path on the left a little further on. Continue again until you reach another four-way junction. Ignore the path on the far left and the one opposite. Take the one on the right and take the next path on the left, following it to the next junction.

(13) Turn left, ignoring a path on the left shortly afterwards. Continue uphill, ignoring a path leading up to the right further on, and carry on to the next path on the left.

(14) Turn left and continue down a gentle slope to a cross-path. Turn left and shortly afterwards take the next path on the right, continuing shortly afterwards to the right and continuing uphill to the^second path on the left.

(15) Turn left up a steep slope until you reach the^first path on the right. Go right until you reach a cross path. Turn left and continue until you reach a wide cross path. Turn right and return to the starting point (S/E).
