The Jovinian Walk and La Collinière

The start is in the car park running parallel to Avenue du Quai Henri Ragobert (right next to the covered market).

(S/E) Head left for 20 m (covered market on your left), then turn right for 10 m, cross the pedestrian crossing on Avenue du Quai Henri Ragobert, then head left for about 50 m to position yourself in front of the estate agent’s on your right. Just past the estate agent’s, go up the stairs on the right. Then cross three streets to reach Place Saint-Jean at the very top.

(1) Go up the wide stairs on the right to reach Saint-Jean Church. Walk round the church on the right, then join Rue Jacques Ferrand, which you should follow to the right. Just after this, ignore Rue des Religieuses on the left and continue straight on until you reach Rue Notre-Dame. Turn left, ignore Rue Gondrin on the right immediately after and continue straight on until you reach Rue d’Auxerre.

(2) Turn right onto it for about 20 metres, then turn left down a narrow lane which leads onto a road 30 metres further on. Head right for about 100 metres until you reach a road. Turn left onto it for 20 metres, then cross by first turning right then left onto Rue Christian Fourée and continue to the next junction.

(3) Head up the Rue de la Croix d'Arnault and continue along a wide path. Take the next path on the right. At the next junction, continue straight on until you reach a four-way crossroads 100 metres further on.

(4) Continue straight on for 100 m, then turn left until you reach a T-junction a little further on. Go left for 10 m, then turn right uphill. After 100 m, continue along the path to the right. Ignore the next path on the left and continue to the next path on the left.

(5) Continue left up the slope, which leads further on to the next junction. Turn left for 20 m, then turn right, following the edge of the Bois auxCœureson your right until you reach a T-junction further on.

(6) Turn right, then head downhill to reach a wide path. Follow it down to the left, then take the next path on the right, which goes uphill. Turn left at the next path, then left again and head downhill to come out onto a road (Chemin de la Voie Cassée).

(7) Turn left and continue downhill to the next junction. Turn right, then ignore the right-hand turn immediately after. Keep left for about 20 metres, then continue left along a wide path, going round the cemetery on your right, until you reach Boulevard Lesire Lacam.

(8) Cross it carefully, then head right for about 40 metres, first turning left then right via the footpath between the trees. Cross the next road and continue for 30 metres to reach Rue de la Porte du Bois.

(9) Turn left, passing just under the building. At the next junction, continue straight on until you reach Place Jean de Joigny. Cross the square to reach Rue Montant au Palais.

(10) First turn left then right. At the next junction, continue straight down until you reach the roundabout at the very bottom between Avenue du Quai du Général Leclerc and Avenue du Quai Henri Ragobert, without crossing it. Turn left, staying on the left-hand pavement for about 100 m, then head towards Place du Marché couvert (S/E).
