Eguisheim walks

A magnificent hike through vineyards and forests from Eguisheim, taking in five castles overlooking the Alsace plain south of Colmar. From the Eguisheim campsite, climb through the vineyards to the Haguenek Tower, then to Hohlansburg Castle via the Herzog Trail, passing by the Fontaine de la Dame fountain, then under the Rocher Turenne rock and the Abri de Stauffen shelter, then return via the Three Castles overlooking Husseren-les-Châteaux and the vineyards overlooking Eguisheim.

This is a beautiful hike starting from Eguisheim, offering stunning views over the Alsace plain. We pass by Hagueneck Castle and the Three Castles above Husseren. On the way back, a visit to the picturesque village of Eguisheim is a must, with its beautiful circular rampart street.

A lovely route passing by the Chapelle des Bois and the Château-Fort du Hagueneck. Beautiful views of the Alsace plain, particularly Colmar, Wettolsheim and the Black Forest, can be enjoyed along the way.

Walk, mountain bike or electric mountain bike ride in the Stauffen and Petit Ballon mountains. The proposed circuit includes sections on roads, forest paths and cycle paths. There are no major difficulties, except for a short but steep climb after the Col de Marbach, which may require you to dismount, and the steady but also fairly steep climb from Boenlesgrab to Strohberg.

This circuit, which mainly follows wine and forest trails, cycle paths and small mountain roads to avoid traffic, is designed for mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes. It allows you to discover some picturesque villages in the foothills, such as Turckheim, Ammerschwihr, Kientzheim, Kaysersberg, Hunawihr and Zellenberg, as well as the green Fréland valley and the steeper, forest-covered slopes of the Brézouard and Kaelblin mountains.

Reach the Obschel via the Rotenbuch and the Bruderhauskapelle.Return via Meierhof, Trois Épis, Hunabuhl and Saint-Wendelin Chapel, before returning to Turckheim, which you can cross and visit like good tourists.A word of advice: check your route using .gpx. A short walk through the vineyards offering beautiful views over the Alsace plain.

An easy hike, accessible to younger children, which offers superb views of the Alsace plain and, in particular, the village of Gueberschwihr from the Rocher du Coucou. Also worth discovering are the remarkable Heiliger Baum shelter of the Club Vosgien de Rouffach and, at the end of the route, Notre-Dame de Schauenberg.

Starting from Pfaffenheim, climb up to the heights of its communal forest through the vineyards and discover places steeped in history and spirituality. You will discover the many religious statues and other curiosities of Notre-Dame de Schauenberg, magnificent views of the plain and, if you are lucky, the Alps, as well as the Table des Druides, a beautiful natural dolmen.

A ride for mountain bikes and electric mountain bikes in the Val Saint-Grégoire to reach the Tanet massif. The circuit mainly follows cycle paths or forest tracks and allows you to discover the beauty of this site, which was once home to a ski resort.

A simple loop along a forest path with the magnificent panorama of the Alsace plain and the Vosges mountains from the Galtz monument as your destination. The climb to the Galtz is a little steep, but in good weather it is a beautiful viewpoint over the Alsace plain and the Black Forest.

Circular hike starting from Katzenthal and Wineck Castle, taking us to the Galtz Monument. Return via the Pfaffenrod Rocks, the Roggenmoser Cross, the hamlet of Hunnabuhl, Saint Wendelin Chapel and the beautiful village of Niedermorschwihr. Two-thirds of the route is through forest and one-third through vineyards. A steady but fairly strenuous climb to the Galtz, where you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view. In good weather, you can even see the Alps!

This forest hike offers views of the Munster Valley, the Petit Ballon and even the Alsace plain, with a stop at the summit of the Staufen, the Schrankenfels Ruins, a number of picnic spots and a little exercise and tranquillity.

This hike will first take you through the beautiful forest between Westhalten and Osenbuhr and then onto a balcony overlooking the vineyards of Pfaffenheim and Rouffach.

Notre-Dame du Schauenberg, a place of pilgrimage, is located at an altitude of 410 metres on the side of a hill in the Vosges mountains, between Gueberschwihr and Pfaffenheim in Upper Alsace. This is a beautiful hike from Ammerschwihr to Trois-Épis via the Christ du Galtz, which overlooks the Alsace plain. Enjoy lovely views of the plain and discover the resort of Trois Épis, which was once a holiday destination for Alsatians and still boasts some beautiful residences.

Departure from Ammerschwihr, a famous village in the Alsatian vineyards, crossing the Ammerschwihr golf course and climbing to the Roche du Corbeau before crossing the Trois-Épis health resort and climbing to the Galtz monument, the Alsatian Corcovado. The return to Ammerschwihr is via the Château du Wineck (near Katzenthal) and the famous Kaefferkopf grand cru vineyard.This hike offers the chance to discover varied landscapes, from high-altitude forests to grand cru vineyards, passing by magnificent viewpoints such as the Rocher du Corbeau and the Galtz, and the ruins of the old hamlet of Meywihr near Ammerschwihr, which also has a rich historical heritage.

A scenic walk to discover the wine-growing villages of the Val de Weiss and their rich and tumultuous past. While Kaysersberg is rightly ranked among the French's favourite villages, our favourite is Kientzheim, a village away from the tourist trail but with a remarkable historical heritage. The route follows forest and vineyard paths and tarmac or cobbled roads.

Circular hike from Rouffach to the Notre-Dame de Schauenberg sanctuary, with a beautiful view of the Alsace plain.The route follows part of "La grande promenade mystique" (The Great Mystical Walk ), linking places marked by the region's spiritual and religious heritage.The first part takes place in the Rouffach vineyards, then enters the forest. After the sanctuary, the return journey is along a corniche.

A lovely hike in the Alsatian foothills of the Vosges mountains, passing through Wintzfelden and Osenbach. Very well marked by the Club Vosgien.

The first part of this hike takes place on forest paths and the return journey is through the meadows of the Haute Vallée Noble. The route takes you to the pilgrimage site of Schaefertal (Val du Pâtre), the mysterious site of Schwarzenthann, the meadows of Wintzfelden and the panorama of the Zinnkoepfle and the Noble Valley at Grossfels. This hike can be shortened by almost 4 kilometres if you choose the Shepherd's Valley Chapel as your starting point.

This short route, starting from the centre of the village of Labaroche, invites you to discover this magnificent village from a slightly higher vantage point. The route skilfully alternates between tarmac and trails, forests and open landscapes, offering a beautiful glimpse of what the region has to offer. The main destination of the hike is the Château du Petit Hohnack, which offers a well-deserved mid-route break with a 360° panoramic view and a bit of history to accompany the landscape. This is the only real difficulty of the route, not technical, but physical. However, it is short and easily avoidable if you don't feel like it, or if you are cycling.

This short walk in the hills above Soultzmatt will take you to the Langenstein Menhir and a beautiful viewpoint over the Vallée Noble. You will then enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest, which you will walk through for most of this hike, as well as a beautiful meadow that you will cross.
