Blaye Loop - Vineyards in the citadel
Formed by the confluence of the Garonne and Dordogne rivers, the Gironde Estuary is the largest estuary in Western Europe (600 km²) and the best preserved in terms of landscape and environment. Bordered by the vineyards of Médoc and Côtes de Blaye, this estuary is home to many inhabited and uninhabited islands that are well worth visiting.
Loop around Plassac
Take a section of the Tours route on the way to Santiago de Compostela to reach the village of Plassac with its old streets and immerse yourself in antiquity as you discover the Gallo-Roman villa! Head to the banks of the Gironde, reach the marina and set off to conquer the hillsides. Shady paths, vineyard landscapes and beautiful views around the Vierge de Montuzet are all on the menu for this walk!

The Gironde from the Port of Beychevelle
A pleasant hike to discover two Médoc châteaux (Beychevelle and Ducru Beaucaillou) and the estuary with its carrelets. This route, with its varied landscape and modest length, is ideal for a lovely family walk.
Gauriac heritage circular
Route suggested by the Association for the Preservation of Gauriacais Heritage.
Magnificent views of the Gironde estuary, the Bec d'Ambès, the Île du Nord and the Médoc. The route is dotted with beautiful houses belonging to sea captains, fishermen, carrelets (fishing huts) and troglodyte dwellings, all the way to the small port of Roque-de-Thau. It also crosses a protected wooded area, the Château de Thau and the church... 17 information panels provide walkers with information about the sites and structures they encounter.
Lamarque loop via the ports of Lamarque and Arcins
Lamarque is located in the Médoc region, in the heart of the great wine appellations, south of the prestigious Saint-Julien Beychevelle and Pauillac appellations, and less than 10km north of Margaux.
The village is unique in that it has the highest point on the Médoc peninsula. The dome of the church, perched at a height of 35 metres, offers a unique and breathtaking view of the great wine region.

This is a pleasant, well-marked walk with black ADYC markings on a yellow background, just under 7 km long, through the vineyards.

Walk around the lake from the car park at the village hall in Montendre
A lovely little walk of about 1 hour 45 minutes, allowing you to explore Lake Montendre with its beach, its water lilies in bloom in May and June, and the distinctive visitor centre of the Mysterra maze park, all set amidst the pine forest.

A very pleasant walk through the marsh and then the vineyards, taking you past pidgeon hunting huts.The marsh consists of floodplain woodland on peaty soil.These stands consist of willows, black alders, ash trees, poplars and pedunculate oaks, with a understorey of deadwood such as hawthorn and blackthorn.The flora includes summer snowflakes and marsh irises.

A pleasant hike in the countryside around Coux to discover this slightly hilly corner of Saintonge with its varied landscapes of vineyards, crops and woods. It is a very natural area despite the scattered hamlets. Beautiful examples of architectural heritage dot the route.
Circular Macau route to the Paloumey pond
Circular route between vineyards, small copses and the Paloumey gravel pit, passing close to Château Cambon-La-Pelouse, Château Guittot-Fellonneau, Château Cantemerle and Château Paloumey. Ducks, geese and fish at the Étang de la Gravière in Paloumey.

Circular of Arsac
A pleasant route to discover the former gravel pits of Arsac, now transformed into lakes and ponds, the gravel pits of Avensan and the woods adjacent to them. The hike is on good, soft sandy paths. It offers a variety of landscapes and a great moment of nature after passing through the peaceful neighbourhoods of Arsac. The starting point is near the beautiful Saint-Germain church.
Charlot Mill
The route is slightly hilly, with a significant section in the woods, ending at the edge of a very picturesque pond. This is a particularly suitable spot for a picnic, but bring a table as the few available are often occupied by fishermen.
Circular route starting from the Moulin de Charlot in Marcenais
A circular route along the small roads starting from Moulin Charlot, ideal for walking on rainy days. The roads are quiet and pleasant. Like all circular routes, you can walk it either way.
The Bois de Fenis from Villexavier
A pleasant hike around Villexavier through the vineyards and the Bois de Fenis. It is an opportunity to discover peaceful landscapes with varied colours throughout the year and beautiful examples of built heritage. The path on either side of the Maine River enhances the end of the route.
