Park along the Route des Châteaux, D2, Bordeaux-Pauillac, near the Macau tennis courts.
(S/E) Cross the road and turn right. Start the walk a little further on, on the left, in the vineyards. After the sign for "L'Aura de Cambon", walk along the vineyards on your left and then the fence of an estate.
(1) When you see a beautiful yellow stone building on your right, take the wide white path on your left to cross the vineyards of Château Cambon la Pelouse, which you will see in the distance. You will come out onto a road (Chemin de Cante-Loup).
(2) Turn right onto this path and continue until you reach the second path on the left.
(3) Turn left between the vineyards and, at the three-way junction, continue on the path on the right that runs alongside a pond. Herons and cormorants are often seen here. You will arrive at the D211.
(4) Cross the road carefully and continue straight ahead. Walk along the back of the Domaine de Château Cantemerle, the only grand cru classé in the Haut-Médoc appellation.
(5) Cross La Mouline and continue straight ahead to join the Sentier des Graves.
(6) Turn right and follow the path until you reach a sign indicating how to reach the Étang de la Gravière de Paloumey.
(7) Walk around the pond clockwise, then exit by following the D211 for about 100 metres, passing in front of Château Paloumey.
(8) Turn right at thefirst street, which turns into a path and joins the Sentier de Graves.
(9) Turn left and continue straight ahead on the path to Jalle de la Mouline. Turn right to follow it, then rejoin the path you took on the way there, which passes behind Château Cantemerle.
(5) Turn left and follow the same route as on the way there to reach the D211.
(4) Cross and follow the outward route in the opposite direction to reach the Route des Châteaux car park, D2 (S/E).
