From Bonnières to Vernon via Giverny
Follow in the footsteps of Claude Monet, considered one of the founders of Impressionism, on a hike from station to station along the Seine and its hillsides. Beautiful views punctuate the route. Halfway along the route, there are several possible visits in Giverny, where the painter lived and worked from 1883 until his death in 1926. At the end of the hike, the collegiate church of Vernon is worth a detour.
From Bonnières-sur-Seine to Gommecourt via La Roche-Guyon
A hike in the Vexin Regional Nature Park starting from Bonnières-sur-Seine, passing through Port Saint-Nicolas, La Roche-Guyon, the Faïence Garden and the Coteaux de la Seine Nature Reserve.
Between two bends of the Seine from Freneuse
Right from the start, this walk offers beautiful views of the woods of Bonnières-sur-Seine. A route to explore the former Saint-François quarries, whose stone was transported down the Seine to build Parisian monuments, and the hamlet of Bézu, which has been abandoned since the quarries closed. The route first crosses the Forêt de la Roche-Guyon before climbing the slopes of the Epte valley. The end of this walk offers the chance to stroll through the streets of the typical village of Chérence.
Chérence - Haute-Isle
