Description of the walk

Departure from Bonnières-sur-Seine station (Transilien line J).

(S/E) Exit via the underpass, turn left onto Rue du Port and walk along the car parks, then turn right onto a small path that leads to the Seine.

(1) Walk along the Seine, turning left onto the GRP® trail. Please note that the path can be slippery.

(2) Cross the Pont de la Seine bridge on the D201 on the right, cross the Grande Île and then take a second bridge to cross the Bras du Gloton.

(3) Turn right onto Rue Émile Zola, then before the tobacconist's, take Rue de la Charrière on the left, an uphill path.

(4) At the intersection, turn left onto Rue du Temple for 50 metres and then turn right onto a small path, Chemin du Hauts Monts. The path continues uphill, passing through undergrowth and then along the edge of fields. Take the second right, Les Écauvilles, staying on the GRP®.

(5) Take the path on the right, the middle path, to reach Rue de la Roche-Guyon at the entrance to Tripleval. Take the D 100 on the left and you will come to a crossroads.

(6) Turn left onto Rue des Coudrayes, go to the end, then just after the last house, take the path on the right (no signposting). Take the path on the right and then the next one on the left, continue straight ahead, ignoring the paths that branch off to the right and then to the left.

(7) Continue straight ahead between fields and woods until you reach a junction of several paths.

(8) Stay on the same path that branches off to the left.

(9) Turn right into the Bois de Caillouest to cross the Coteaux de la Seine Nature Reserve, then cross the fields.

(10) Cross a road and continue straight ahead along Chemin de la Montagne, continuing straight ahead for about 1 km until you reach a road. In the distance, you can see the Château de la Roche-Guyon.

(11) Take the D913 on the left for 200 metres, then turn left again and cut across the fields to reach Gommecourt.

(12) At the three-way junction at the entrance to the village, turn left onto Rue des Fauconniers, then Place Charles de Gaulle.

(13) At the stop sign, go straight ahead onto Route des Bosquets and leave the village. Stay on the road for about 500 metres.

(14) Take a path on the left that leads into the woods. Then cross the fields to reach a road.

(15) Turn right, then right again at the entrance to Bois du Moulin. Further on, make a zigzag.

(16) Cross a field, turning right. Cut across a path, then a track. Further on, turn left and join a road leading to Bennecourt.

(17) Turn right onto Voie de Bennecourt and continue to the church.

(18) Turn left onto Rue de l'Église.

(19) At the nursery school, turn left and follow the Bras de Gloton river, then return to the intersection you passed on the way there.
