Description of the walk

Park in the cemetery car park.

(S/E) Head left, walking alongside the cemetery on your left, then take the first path on the left. Continue straight on to reach the road leading to La Butorne.

(1) Turn right onto it to cross the hamlet. Then continue straight on along the path to the first junction and carry on to the next one.

(2) Take a series of bends – left, right, then left again – to come out onto the D114.

(3) Cross carefully and take the Chemin des Augers opposite. At the junction with the GR°°®°26, follow it to the right towards Thiron, reach the road and turn left.

(4) Take the path on the left after house no. 32 (GR®). Continue straight on until you reach the Route de la Gamacherie.

(5) Turn left for 100 m and then take the first road on the right, which further on becomes a track. Reach the edge of the forest.

(6) Stay onthe GR® by turning right and going through the gate. Continue straight on, passing a small path on the right, then turn right at the Mare du Désert, leaving theGR®26. Continue straight on through the gate, leave the forest and reach the D114.
