Around Murs via the Grande Blaque

Lovely hike without much difficulty. After climbing uphill for just under a kilometre, just enough time to reach an altitude of 700 m, where the the panoramic view of Lubéron with its lowlands and further below the valley behind Murs, opens up to you. Just for your enjoyment, this view will last for more than 4 km. The majority of the circular hike is through forest paths.
The northern tip of the Ile de la Barthelasse
A very easy walk. The first part up to the dam, very pleasant and shady. There's not shade on second part until you arrive, so wear hats in sunny weather.
Numerous birds and in particular grey herons, cormorants, swans etc. are visible near the water and on the banks of the Rhone.

The walk begins with a visit to the Colorado Provençal lookout trail (pedestrian rate) run by the Association du Colorado de Rustrel and continues with a tour of the Colorado via the ridges (GR®) to discover views of other ochre quarries. The walk takes in all the different colours of ochre in these old open-air quarries.
Please note: the Parking des Mille Couleurs is reserved exclusively for visitors to the two signposted trails managed by the Association du Colorado de Rustrel for a limited time of around 3 hours. If you wish to hike the Tour du Colorado, you must park in the village and pay only the pedestrian entrance fee for the Belvederes trail.
The Mourre Nègre loop, passing by the old Saint-Pierre castle

The Mourre Nègre, the highest point in the Luberon mountain range, offers breathtaking views from its crest, stretching from the Étang de Berre to the Southern Alps and including the Sainte-Victoire and Mont Ventoux peaks.
On the way down, passing through the Vallon du Roumi, you can get close to the ruins (currently being restored) of the ancient Château Saint-Pierre and the adjoining chapel of the same name.

From Cabrières-d'Avignon, this is a nice circle route leading to Fontaine-de-Vaucluse going along the Wall of the Plague (Mur de la Peste) and passing by Fontaine-de-Vaucluse castle.
The Gorges du Régalon - Short circuit via the Mayorques farm

A lovely walk to discover some very narrow gorges, but with no great difficulty, and a beautiful view of the Durance plain on the way back. Ideal for families.
Beware: there are some steep sections inside the gorges.
You are entering the Luberon National Geological Reserve and Réserve Biologique Domaniale. This is an extremely fragile site. Please respect the site (see practical information).
=> Avoid this hike from January to September, preferring mornings or late afternoons.
The ochres of Mormoiron and the Sitos ravine

There is a plethora of routes, all with varied and unconventional signposting. In short, you can get lost! And you can even find some dangerous spots. On this safe hike, you'll admire some splendidly original landscapes, with colours ranging from blood red to golden yellow. An absolute must!
