Parking for the botanical trail is located north of Sérignan du Comtat, taking the D65 towards Lagarde-Paréol.
(S/E) From the car park, facing the houses, take the path on the right that climbs alongside a large wall, marked with yellow and red signs (GRP®).
Just before a large esplanade, take the small path that climbs into the forest. At the first fork, look for the cairn that indicates to climb to the right (no markings), then continue uphill to a new fork.
(1) Turn left. The path continues through the forest, following the markings or cairns, then arrives at the top of the hill for a ridge walk. Continue straight ahead on this straight section, ignoring the paths branching off on either side.
(2) At a crossroads, take the path on the right that descends (no signposts) and rejoins a beautiful path. Follow it to the left for 300 metres, then at a fork, take the left-hand track and go through the gate to continue for 1.5 kilometres on this track.
(3) In a sharp right-hand bend, look for a path that heads off opposite into the forest. It is blocked by tree trunks and cables (most likely to prevent motorbikes from passing). Leave the track and follow this path down into the forest, at times through a tunnel of boxwood where you will need to bend down, and twice more blocked by metal pipes that you will need to climb over.
(4) Then the signposting turns right and arrives at the Puy Vieux Sud sign. Continue straight ahead, ignoring all the trailheads, pass a ruin and continue on this sandy path.
(5) Once at the Galle Nord crossroads, turn right towards Castellas on a section of the botanical trail.
When you reach Castellas, turn left towards Moulinas and you will find the chapel 200 metres further up. Take the left-hand path for 100 metres and you will see the ruins of Castellas. Return to the chapel.
(6) Go back down the track you took on the way there to retrace your steps. Head towards the gate, go through it and take the road opposite marked in yellow.
Once at the Combe de Paris crossroads, take the track that climbs opposite towards Replat Ouest.
(7) At Replat Ouest, turn right onto the track towards Le Replat. Continue straight ahead on the red and white marked track (GR®4) and ignore all the trailheads.
(8) At the Le Replat signpost, do not turn right towards Sérignan du Comtat, but left towards Tartarus Nord.
(9) At the Tartarus Nord sign, turn right onto the track towards Les Grand Bosquets.
(10) Once at the Les Grand Bosquet crossroads, turn right towards Les Tartarus, marked with a red and white cross but signposted in yellow and red (GRP®).
Continue along this route, passing the crossroads Le Saule, Le Saule Sud, Les Fanges, Pied-Redon and Chemin Blanc, heading towards Sérignan du Comtat each time.
When the signs reach a paved road, turn right to go back up to the car park (S/E).
