Head to the Sault racecourse on the road to Saint-Trinit (D950) and park in the car park at the entrance to the site.

(S/E) With your back to the racecourse, take the access road to the car park and turn left to join the D950.
Cross with caution and continue straight ahead on the small paved road that runs alongside the campsite. At the Mougne signpost, leave the path on the right and continue straight ahead towards "Bois des Pourraches" on the path that becomes stony.
Pass the shooting range and continue to the signpost 200 metres further on. Turn left onto the road that climbs towards Saint-Trinit.
Leave a path on your left and the next two on your right to find the Trou de l'Eimine signpost.
(1) Go back 100m to the left to see this geological phenomenon and its explanatory sign. Back at the signpost, turn left towards Saint-Trinit.
Walk along the lavender fields and stay on the main path, ignoring the other paths.
When you reach a paved road, turn left and immediately come to a crossroads. Leave the wide path on your right at an acute angle that leads to the Ferme des Grandes Pourraches (not marked on the map) and take the less marked path on the right that runs alongside a small copse. Immediately leave the path on your left and continue for 100m until you reach another path. At the crossroads, turn left and continue along the path, ignoring the paths on the right and left.
The path runs alongside a farm and ends at a dirt track. Turn right to reach the signpost for Les Plaines on the edge of the D51.
(2) Cross the road, go straight ahead and cut across the next road (D157b) to arrive in front of the Chapelle Saint-Roch.
Turn right, ignore all the streets on the right and you will arrive in front of the Church of the Holy Trinity.
(3) Continue along this road, which curves to the left and joins the D950. Cross it with caution and continue straight ahead on the D157 until you reach the cemetery.
(4) Turn left onto the path towards Vallon de Barrulé. Leave a path on your right and continue straight ahead until you reach a paved path. Take this path on the right, which goes around a field, leave a path on your right and you will come out onto the D950 again.
Cross the road and continue straight ahead. The path turns right and then left and arrives at the entrance to a grove, which can be identified by a very large walnut tree on the right.
Leave the main path and take a less marked path on the right. Be careful, as the markings are not very visible at this point. The path runs alongside the grove and rejoins the D950.
Cross it again and turn left to find the Vallon de Barrulé signpost.
Take the path that branches off to the right between the hedges towards Marquisan and comes out onto a path.
(5) Continue straight ahead through the pine trees and join the D63 about 700m further on. Cross it and continue opposite on a path between the hedges that leads to another path. Turn right onto this path, which joins the Marquisan crossroads.
Turn left in front of the house towards Les Burlières. At the next fork, turn right then left in front of the house to rejoin a path that runs alongside fields. As you approach another house, continue straight ahead and follow it on the left to reach a small road.
Turn right and 10 metres further on you will find a fountain at a crossroads.
(6) Turn left onto the path, quickly leave the path that branches off to the right and continue until you reach the Les Burtières signpost. Leave the path and turn left towards Les Puits d'Aymar onto a small path (not very visible due to tall grass depending on the season) that passes between truffle fields and then enters the pine trees. Further on, follow the dry stone walls and descend to a paved road at the first houses of Aurel.
Take the road opposite, which descends steeply and leads to the entrance of a beautiful property.
No signposts
(7) Leave the road on your right and descend opposite along the ramparts on a path that joins the road. Turn left and continue until you reach the parish church of Aurel, then turn left and walk back towards the garden of the former Notre-Dame-des-Suffrages chapel.
Return to the front of the church and turn left onto Rue de l'Ancienne Poste, which descends. Turn left onto the first set of steps that descend in front of the potter's workshop and turn right into the street. Continue for about 20 metres and descend the steps on the left, which join another street. Turn left to reach the village square (D942).
Take the street that climbs to the left, following the red mountain bike signs, and join the Aurel signpost.

(8) Turn right onto the path, which quickly becomes a trail. Follow this trail, which offers beautiful views of the village of Aurel when you look back.
After 600m, the path joins a track. Turn right and immediately leave a track on your right. Continue straight ahead on this stony track, ignoring the paths branching off on either side, until you reach the Col de Mougne crossroads.

(9) Continue straight ahead towards La Rouyère in the forest. Stay on the main path and ignore all other paths. Pass the La Rouyère signpost and continue to the Roumane crossroads.

(10) Leave the path and turn left towards Défends, pass the signpost of the same name and continue straight ahead to reach the Hippodrome signpost.
Turn left and return to the car park (S/E).
