Park in car park no. 2 (Place Jean Moulin), at the entrance to the village of Séguret, 200 metres after the post office.
(S/E) From the car park, take the road that climbs to the right and heads towards the village.
(1) Go under the archway (Portail Reynier, known as the Portail de la Bise) and take the street that crosses the village. After the fountain, turn right onto Rue des Poternes, which takes you out of the village centre via an archway to Place des Arceaux with its magnificent plane trees forming a trellis.
Take the road that descends to the left along the square, then turn right at the crossroads to arrive at the La Grand Font sign
(2). Turn left towards Sablet on a paved road that descends (GRP® marked in yellow and red).
At the next crossroads, take the road that climbs to the left and ignore all the small paths to stay on theGRP® to reach the La Jacquette crossroads.
(3) At this point, turn left onto the path marked with a red and yellow cross, which climbs steeply into the forest. As you go around an olive grove, the trail branches off to the left (a blue sign appears; follow it to the road). When the trail joins a wider path, turn left and then immediately onto the path furthest to the right.
When it comes out onto a track, leave the cistern on your left, turn right and descend along the track for almost 1.5 km, ignoring the small paths.
(4) When you reach a road, turn left onto the track to rejoin the GRP® signposting. 300 m further on, at the fork, continue straight ahead following the signposting. Pass the Dindoulette crossroads and continue opposite towards Côte Chaude until you reach an intersection.
(5) Leave theGR® markings and take the path on the right towards Prébayon, marked in yellow.
The trail winds pleasantly through the Prébayon valley and arrives at a stone bridge. Do not cross the bridge, but turn left towards La Grande Montagne until you reach the ruins.
(6) Cross the monastery ruins on the left, pass in front of a chapel and continue along the path that climbs steeply through tree roots. The path levels out and arrives at a track.
(7) Turn left to rejoin theGR®4trail markers and the La Grande Montagne sign.
Continue along the track towards Les Planes, ignoring the paths on either side, until you reach the Les Planes crossroads.
(8) Continue straight ahead on the track towards Royère Sourde, which is marked in yellow. 700m further on, you will reach a crossroads (hunting lodge present in 2017).
(9) Leave the signposts and take the track on the left towards Séguret.
A path coming from the right will bring you back to the yellow signs. Continue along the track and at the next fork, leave the track on the left and continue towards Séguret for about 1.5 km.
(10) At a vineyard on your right, look for a path marked with a cairn on the left and take it; it will join a paved road.
Go up this road on the right and follow the sign for Le Besson. Turn left onto the path that climbs up to Notre-Dame d'Aubusson, marked with a yellow sign. This will take you to the chapel perched on top of the hill. Ignore the first crossroads 100 metres further on and continue straight ahead.
(11) From the chapel, head back down north on a path that is steep in places and look for the sign for Aubusson in the forest. Turn left towards Saint-Just and, at the next fork, keep left.
After 700m, the signposts leave the beautiful path and turn left onto a small path that leads closer to the houses.
Continue between the houses, turn left onto the road, leave the cemetery on your left, and join the D23, which you should follow up to the left, then right to return to the car park (S/E)
