Parking is available about 1.5 km south of the village of Buoux. Head towards the Auberge des Seguins and park in the car park on the right before the inn (just after a former holiday village), where a sign indicates the last public car park.
(S/E) From the car park, take the road towards the Auberge des Seguins.
(1) Opposite the path leading to the inn (on the left), take the track on the right that climbs into the forest.
(2) At the first hairpin bend on the right, follow the path furthest to the left. Continue climbing towards Chantebelle. The path turns into a paved slanting street and leads to a balcony overlooking the gorges - imposing cairn. Continue climbing towards Chantebelle.
(3) Pass the Chantebelle farm to reach a track suitable for vehicles heading west. After 300 m, the track turns right and runs alongside the gorges - beautiful view. Continue along the track which descends slightly.
(4) Leave the track and take the path on the left, crossing the ravine over an old stone dam (bridge), which is wide but has no guardrail. After the bridge, take the path on the right (small cave) and continue to the road leading to Sivergues. Follow the road to the left to continue to Sivergues.
In Sivergues, continue along the road for about 300 m. Do not take the paths on the left that indicate the return to Aigue Brun, but continue to the hairpin bend.
(5) At the hairpin bend, take the path on the left (which descends towards the river) for 100 m, then turn onto the path on the right. Continue downhill towards Aigue Brun. At the bottom of the descent, do not take the first path that branches off sharply to the left, but continue straight ahead to cross the river bed and continue on the opposite bank for about 300 m. At the first junction, turn onto the path that climbs steeply to the left.
(6) At the first crossroads at the top of the climb, turn left onto the flat path, leaving all the paths on your right. This path continues more or less flat, running alongside the gorges (beautiful views of the opposite slope) and lavender fields.
(7) After following the gorge for about 1 km, there is a small path on the left that leads down to the Baume de l'Eau (a large pool of water in a cave) just a hundred metres below (easy to access). Turn back to find the path and turn left.
(8) At the next junction, leave the path leading to Marrenon on your right and take the path on the left for about 100 metres, then leave it on your left and follow the path below (be careful as it is not very visible), which winds down towards the Auberge des Seguins. Keep to the paths on the right throughout the descent. When you reach a final intersection in a bend, turn left and take the footbridge, keeping to the right to return to the path you started on. Follow it in the opposite direction to the car park (S/E).
