Every spring, cherry trees cover the Fougerolles-Saint-Valbert area with millions of white flowers. The town also reveals its well-preserved architectural heritage to attentive and curious hikers at every turn of the trail. A succession of streams, orchards, calvaries and farms typical of the Pays de la Vôge will reveal themselves as you wander along the paths. A beautiful shaded walk in the Fossard Forest, which has no shortage of points of interest: the beautiful Chapelle du Vieux Saint-Amé, the magnificent Saint-Mont esplanade, the Pont des Fées and the Miraumont waterfall. At the summit of Saint-Mont, a vast grassy area is ideally suited for a picnic break and offers, as a bonus, a magnificent 360° panorama of the Moselle and Moselotte valleys.

Circular route on the plateau between Faucogney and Saint-Bresson. You will discover some of the thousand ponds, several calvaries including the Monumental Cross of Montdahin, a few hamlets, vestiges of the past (farm ruins) and new and beautiful views following the damage to the forest caused by the bark beetle. Starting from Faucogney, this trail route will allow you to discover the natural and cultural heritage of this charming town in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Starting from Place du Champ de Foire, you will reach Saint-Martin Chapel and its cemetery overlooking the valley. You will then set off to explore the ponds of the Oroz area, which bear witness to the rich fauna and flora of the region of 1,000 ponds. The end of the route will take you to the Rochenoz viewpoint.

Starting from Faucogney-et-la-Mer, the route climbs to La Voivre towards the ruins of the Annegray monastery, the first foundation on the European continent by the Irish monk Saint Columbanus in the6th century.The paths then take you on a journey of discovery through the forests, ponds and farms typical of the 1000 Étangs and the Southern Vosges.

This route also takes you on a journey of discovery through the Plateau des 1000 Étangs, particularly near the villages of Écromagny and La Mer.

The Banney Forest marks the transition between the beech-rich forests of the Vosges Saônoises and the varied species of the Haute-Saône plains. This ancient forest, once owned by the monks of Luxeuil Abbey, has many treasures: springs, fountains, an old Roman road and the Route Napoléon.

Starting from the Banney animal park, where you can admire wild boar and deer, and close to the Luxeuil-les-Bains spa centre, you will walk through woods to admire Gallo-Roman remains such as the pretty Vosges sandstone fountains. You can refresh yourself, rest or have a picnic on the wooden and stone tables provided.

As you wander along old paths and small roads, you will enjoy a landscape of moors, meadows and forests interspersed with streams and ponds. You will pass through small hamlets with houses characteristic of the Plateau des 1000 Étangs. A remarkable and unique natural heritage to discover.

An easy route that runs alongside numerous ponds. Very pleasant in the October sunshine, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful colours of our forests as they turn golden and purple. Please note, however, that there is a short section on the road (with little traffic).

An easy and very pleasant walk, winding through the undergrowth, which will take you to La Roche des Cuveaux, an unusual place and natural gem with a magnificent panorama, but also other beautiful viewpoints along the route, including one from the Tête des Cuveaux viewpoint: a 9-metre-high wooden promontory with an orientation table at the top. As a bonus, there are impressive rocks along the way. A real treat in autumn.

A short hike full of surprises in a forest environment among sandstone rocks. A viewpoint equipped with a promontory offering a beautiful view of the Moselle valley.The circular route can be done in either direction, but the suggested direction allows you to better appreciate the elevation gain.There are markings (yellow diamonds) but they are not always easy to spot.

Starting from La Mer, more precisely from the Pause Paysage "Au fil de l'eau", you will discover the small paths connecting the various localities and hamlets located between Faucogney and Esmoulières. Small paths through woods and undergrowth will lead you to ponds, streams and Saône-style farms with carts. The highlight of the route is the Étang d'Arfin, the largest pond on the Plateau des 1000 Étangs (21 hectares).
