(S/E) Take the D83 towards the cemetery for 50 metres and follow the Route de Clairegoutte to the left. Follow this road uphill and pass a farmhouse inn next to a sawmill. Continue until you see a beautiful house on your right. A little further on, a path marked "Disque Jaune" opens up on the right.
(1) Take this path towards the valley. After a mostly flat section, the path turns sharply to the right and descends steeply to the Haut du Mont farm.
(2) Take the path that leads into a small wood on the right and goes down the embankment to quickly reach a road. Turn left onto this road and go down to the hamlet of Le Sauceley.
(3) Take the path that branches off to the left between the houses. The path climbs steadily for a long time, then reaches a point where it is bordered by a wall of boulders. The path begins to descend to a small road. Turn right and continue to La Heutotte.
(4) Be careful, at La Heutotte, you must turn left and pass between two buildings (the "Yellow Arrow" sign to follow is on the wall of the house on the right). Soon, the path makes a sharp right turn. A long, more or less flat stretch through majestic and magnificent trees brings us closer to the television relay station. The path climbs, then begins to descend steeply again. After a left turn, along a grassy section, it climbs slightly. After a long stretch through the forest, you will come to a small road, which you take to the right. Continue to a crossroads in the hamlet of Haut du Repoix.
(5) Take the road on the left until you come to a path on the right.
(6) Take this path until you reach a path entrance coming from the right, descending steeply.
(7) Follow this path, pass an old fountain, and continue straight ahead until you reach the Rapaumont road. Turn slightly to the left to find the viewpoint (sandstone benches and table, memorial to an aviator).
(8) With your back to the table, turn left onto the road. Turn right onto a path that climbs steeply to the television relay antenna.
(9) Take the dirt track that starts at the foot of the antenna. Follow it until you reach a small road. Turn right and continue to a crossroads with another road.
(10) Cross this road and continue along the path in front of you. Follow a wide forest path that climbs steadily for a long time. You will come to a signpost inviting you to turn left onto a narrow path that descends steeply.
(11) Ignore this signpost. Continue straight ahead on the wide path that climbs until you reach a multiple crossroads.
(12) Opposite you is a road that you should not take, signposted "Direction Corfaing". Take the flatter road on the left, signposted "route des chalots". Ignore a road coming from the left, and you will soon find a path on your right.
(13) Take this uphill path, which quickly joins a path coming from the left.
(14) Turn left and follow this path downhill to the Clairegoutte road.
(1) Turn right and descend to (S/E) the church of Girmont-Val-d'Ajol.
