Departure from the casino.
(S) Walk up Rue Eugène Delacroix to the crossroads.
(1) Cross the road and go up to the right along a path to reach Tivoli Park. Walk along the hedge on the left. The first station is located on the left of the path behind the hedge, after the steps. It provides information about the Métropole Hotel, built in 1905 in the Art Nouveau style of the Nancy School.
Go up Allée Théophile Gauthier and then turn right at the hairpin bend. The second station is located on a terrace built on the Tivoli reservoir, which supplies the thermal facilities with cold water. A display shows how the temperature of the thermal waters is regulated.
(2) Turn left at an acute angle, then cross the D157 and take the path directly opposite. A third station is located at the first bend. The explanations concern the Vierge du Coteau and its chapel, which can be seen on the other side of the hill.
(3) At the old Jacquot Farm, station no. 4 provides information on the history of this farm, where spa guests could enjoy themselves to the sound of the spinet, as they later did at Dorothée's, at La Feuillée Nouvelle or at Père Vincent's. Go down a tarmac path, passing a magnificent fountain, and take a hairpin bend to the left.
(4) Take the path on the right. A fifth station tells the story of lava roofs and numerous attics. Further on, station no. 6 shows the road to Épinal, built in 1762. At the end of the tarmac road, station no. 7 allows you to discover the church in all its splendour. A dirt track crosses the terraced gardens. These had been abandoned for decades. They are now being developed and cultivated by an association. A final station focuses on the construction of dry stone walls. You can return at your leisure, taking the shortest route via Rue Grillot, Avenue Louis Français and Avenue des Etats-Unis.
(1) Turn right onto Rue Eugène Delacroix and continue to the casino.
