Le Pradet walks

Randonnée longue qui regroupe certaines des nombreuses possibilités du massif de la Colle Noire en une seule randonnée, alliant le bord de mer, les forts et le massif forestier tout en évitant au maximum les secteurs bitumés.

A short loop starting from the Garonne beach, reaching the summit of the Colle Noire via the Port des Oursinières, the Cap Garonne mine, the forts of Gavaresse and Colle Noire, and the Navicelle and Tibouren vineyards. To the west, there is a view of the Grande Rade, Notre-Dame du Mai and the Bec de l'Aigle; to the east, the Tombolo de Giens, the Îles d'Or, Brégançon and Cap Bénat.

Starting from the port of Les Oursinières in Le Pradet, here is a short loop towards La Gavaresse via "Mauvalon". The "Baisse du Comte", a promontory with a superb view, can be reached via well-maintained but not overly frequented paths.

Three forts with very different destinies are the focus of this hike in the hills between Carqueiranne and Le Pradet. We will first climb gradually to the top of the Colle Noire hill, before returning to the terraced fields of Le Canebas, passing through the picturesque little port of Coupereau.

This easy hike will take us around a temporary lake and to one of the viewpoints of Carqueiranne, following the paths of my childhood in the countryside surrounding this village, which has changed so much since then.

If you have an hour or two to spare, here is a short walk (tinged with a certain nostalgia) with no other pretensions than to discover or rediscover a corner of Carqueiranne that has not changed too much.

This route will take you up to Solliès-Ville and then past the Notre-Dame du Deffens Chapel. On the way back, you will follow the bed of an old stream.

This hike combines physical activity with culture. It will take us on a journey of discovery through the ruins of Hyères Castle. The local council has installed information panels on the site, allowing us to imagine what life was like in those days. Before that, this beautiful walk will take us to the recently renovated Notre-Dame du Fenouillet Chapel.

In a private estate where walkers, cyclists and horse riders are welcome, you will have access to a magnificent Provençal setting, with an 18th-century château at the heart of its 160-hectare vineyard, and you will walk alongside the banks of the River Gapeau and its tributaries, the Petit Real and the Jonquière. This circular route is suitable for families.

A nice climb to the top of Coudon (altitude 702 m) near Toulon.

A natural asset exploited by the local glass industry. A route through woodland where you will see the remains of dwellings, wells, sand and stone quarries, and former industry, near the derelict hamlet of Les Olivières.

An extraordinary panorama of the most beautiful harbour in Europe awaits you at the top of Mont Faron, 584 metres above Toulon.

A walk through holm oaks to the Revest lake viewpoint passing by a cave which can be visited.

From the Dardennes district, this walk will take you to the summit of Mont Combes, passing through the Tourravelle estate, with superb views of the Toulon hinterland and in particular the village of Le Revest-les-Eaux. You'll spare a thought for the Neolithic men who found the raw material for their Ripelle flint tool workshops here.

A few efforts through sometimes difficult scree slopes and some mini-climbs will lead us to discover: - the source of the Ripelle, - the Vieille Valette karstic cave, - the Gallo-Roman and medieval ruins, where you can imagine this village as an eagle's nest (the ancestor of La Valette) - the Trou de Gaspard (de Besse) - the decorated and sculpted sand caves to be explored by torchlight, - the old Tourravelle farm and its magnificent surroundings. One of the most beautiful hikes in the Var.This hike climbs Mont Faron via wide tracks and offers breathtaking views of the most beautiful harbour in Europe.

A beautiful walk around the Saint-Mandrier peninsula. The coastal path takes you from the Pointe de Marégau to the beaches of La Coudoulière and Cavalas. Then discover the picturesque little port of Saint-Mandrier. The route ends with a return trip through the countryside. Some urban sections.

This fairly challenging route in the first part offers a loop that takes you all the way around the Giens Peninsula.

I went on two walks I found on Visorando: "Le Revest - Tourris Castle" and "Tourris and the Pyramide de Cassini" before finding this itinerary that I'm recommending. The beginning of the first until the departmental road then part of the initial section of the second. Unlike the "Pyramide de Cassini", we discovered a route that's not marked on the maps but which joins the "Chemin des Turcos" in a forested area. A walk with uneven terrain that can be difficult at times.

Not a very long hike with less than 11 km but very hilly with a rocky, steep incline.

Walking along the western part of the Giens Peninsula on the coastal path is a feast for the eyes, with a succession of islets, coves and beaches, sometimes appearing behind the branches of tall pine trees.This is a fairly challenging route that follows some spectacular trails.

If you like scrambling around the coualo (hill in Provençal) like a goat, unafraid of steep paths or argelas, salsepareilles, fragons and other kermes oaks, then this loop is for you. Complete immersion in the scrubland and guaranteed solitude. This trail was created from scratch in the steepest part to reach the quarry road from the dam via the hill. Don't forget your secateurs to help maintain this trail.

Hike leading to the 784m Cassini Pyramid to discover magnificent landscapes. However, it should be avoided in high winds. In winter, you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Alps.
