Park in the car park of the Memorial to the Landing and Liberation of Provence. The hike starts behind the children's playground.
(S/E) Follow the path that runs parallel to the road and joins it a little further on. Do not take the road, but continue to follow the path that runs alongside it.
(1) Locate the path you will take on the way back and continue straight ahead to the zoo. Ignore the entrance to the zoo and take the path closed to traffic that branches off to the left.
(2) At this point, there are two options: continue straight ahead on the marked path or take a smaller path on the left that runs alongside the zoo (route choice). You may be able to see some animals. Follow two hairpin bends and you will reach an intersection.
(3) Keep left to go around the barracks to the north and enjoy the view. You will reach a three-way junction at a cistern.
(4) Continue straight ahead, keeping the cistern on your left. Climb up the rocks to reach Mont Faron.
(5) Turn back for about 150 metres, then take the path on the left which leads to a track further on. Continue on the right and return to the crossroads by the cistern.
(4) Take the path on the left that goes around the barracks to the south.
(2) Continue straight ahead, leaving the zoo on your right.
(1) Turn right to follow the ridge trail. This trail soon turns left and runs parallel to the path you took on the way there and the road. Then turn left to return to the car park (S/E).
