Le Jardin walks

A short walk around the magnificent restored village of Clédat, in the middle of the Larfeuil Forest. With its church, fountains and stone-built thatched cottages, Clédat will take you on a trip back through time.

A pleasant hike leading to the summit of Knoll Mary, which overlooks the Freysselines cirque and the Ganezande Pond. At the summit, equipped with an orientation table, there are beautiful views of the surrounding area.

This walk takes you up the Corrèze, which is still just a stream that you cross several times, to its source. The Canal aux Moines skilfully follows the curves of the hill for about 1.5 km and feeds a reservoir in the abbey enclosure. In the past, the waterfall was used to power the monastery's watermill.

This easy hike will take you along the Canal des Moines in a bucolic, shaded setting, starting from one of the prettiest villages in Corrèze.

A long loop starting from Saint-Merd-les-Oussines, through forests and moorland, to discover the remarkable Tourbière de Longeyroux, nicknamed the Tourbière des Cent Pierres (Bog of a Hundred Stones), where a multitude of rivulets are born, providing sources for the Vézère.But be careful! There are long stretches of road on this route.

A very pleasant loop in the Monédières, with many sections in the forest, leading to the charming and unusual Saint-Dulcet Chapel. A very easy circuit with little elevation gain, making it accessible to all fitness levels.

A loop, mainly through woods, starting from the charming and picturesque sanctuary of Notre-Dame de Belpeuch, which means "the beautiful mountain". Located in the heart of the Xaintrie, it contains a magnificent statue of the Virgin Mary, dating from the 15th century. There are a few steep slopes, but the walk is pleasant. Good walking shoes are necessary.

A very beautiful hike that takes you back to the source of the Vienne near the village of Servières and across the Chandouille on wooden bridges and granite stone bridges.

A long walk to discover the hydroelectric schemes on the Vienne that led to the creation of the Servières and Chammet lakes. Tarnac, our starting point, is a beautiful village on the Plateau de Millevaches with a church, a fountain and a remarkable oak tree.

Loop around Meyssac and Collonges-La-Rouge to discover the geological fault that has left a deep mark on the ground. Red sandstone to the north and white limestone to the south will take you to the Chaise du Diable (Devil's Chair) where you can rest before diving back into the valley.

In the commune of Saint-Gérons, on the banks of the Saint-Étienne-Cantalès dam lake, a footpath circles the Presqu’île d'Espinet. This path is right at the water's edge and a little narrow between points (3) and (4): it is best to avoid pushchairs. (!) Please note that the path has been blocked by the owners since (4).

A short walk around the village of Turenne, listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France, with interesting views of the citadel.

A botanical trail dotted with rock gardens and cliffs overlooking the Dordogne, with the superb hamlet of Gluges, built partly into the rock, halfway along the route.

Short urban walk along the Jordanne, then into the Cantal mountains, a stone's throw from the centre of Aurillac. Beautiful views of Aurillac and the Chaîne des Puys. There are herds of livestock and electric fences. Dogs are not allowed.
