Description of the walk

Park in the car park after Pont Lanvert on the D76.

(S/E) Take the forest path on the left, pass under Puy des Bois, continue on and cross Champ del Faure. Then join Rue de la Brette.

(1) Turn left and cross this hamlet to reach the crossroads.

(2) Turn left, passing a fountain and drinking troughs, and continue along the road to reach Ruisseau de la Brette.

(3) Cross it, then turn left and you will come to a T-junction.

(4) Continue on the left and, at the crossroads, keep right to reach the village of Marzeix shortly afterwards.

(5) Turn right, then immediately left onto the path on the left. Walk along Combe Lièvre, reach a pond and continue straight ahead to another pond. Take the dyke on the left and you will soon come to a road.

(6) Follow it to the left until you reach the hamlet of Lacoste.

(7) Turn right, then follow a path and arrive at a small road at the entrance to the hamlet of Le Pestour.

(8) Take the first path on the left and you will reach the village of Vedrenne and the D76.

(9) Turn left, cross Vedrenne and reach the last houses in the village.

(10) Turn right at the next crossroads, keep left on Chemin de la Gane and cross the Gane farm. You will then come to a Y-junction in the woods.

(11) Follow the path on the left, then a few steps further on, keep to the right. When you reach a wider track, take it on the right. You will reach the Croix de Chave.

(12) Continue along this track, pass under Puy de la Chiérouse and reach a three-way junction.

(13) Take the path on the left, follow it slightly downhill and cross the Ruisseau de la Gane stream before rejoining the D76.

(14) Follow it carefully to the right to quickly reach the Pont Lanvert car park (S/E).
