The Comberoute woods and the hamlet of Redenat: a circular route from Sirieix

A short walk, ideal for families. It starts gently through the woods, then takes you down a small “hollow” before climbing back up to Redenat and returning to the starting point. No traffic guaranteed. The wooded paths are well-maintained and the road section is safe.

Description of the walk

Start from the south-east exit of Siriex (D72).

(S/E) Follow the D72 carefully towards Dézéjouls.

(1) At the Comberoute sign, take a small road on the left which remains tarmac for about 800 m before becoming a path through the woods.

(2) At the three-way junction, keep left and join a wide forest track.

(3) Follow it to the left and you’ll come out onto a road.

(4) Cross it and head straight ahead. Cross the Ruisseau de la Cascade and reach Redenat.

(5) Turn left, cross the hamlet and then turn right at the three-way junction at the end. You will reach a junction by two farm buildings.

(6) Continue to the right. Ignore a first turn-off to the left, then another to the right about a hundred metres further on, and reach a large T-junction just north of Sirieix.

(7) Take the road on the left and head straight on to return to the start (S/E).
