Cabris walks

This is a classic hike to the summit of La Colle, which offers exceptional views of the Côte d'Azur and the Grasse Pre-Alps. The fairly steep climb between points (1) and (2) passes through a beautiful oak forest, then a pine forest, before crossing Castellaras de la Malle, a prehistoric camp surrounded by a well-preserved rampart.

This hike follows route no. 33 in the RandOxygène 06 Pays Côtier guidebook. From the Route Napoléon to La Marbrière, which offers a magnificent panorama of Grasse, Cannes and Mandelieu, this hike allows you to stroll near Grasse, with a medium level of difficulty in the woods of La Marbrière.

A lovely family walk in the forest to discover old sites and visit a teaching farm (cows, sheep, goats, donkeys, ponies, horses, etc.).

This is a large loop that goes around one of the first foothills of the Pré-Alpes d'Azur, following old paths and the Gorges de la Siagne. The loop is long but mostly flat, except for the descent to Cabris and the very steep climb back up to Saint-Vallier. The villages offer views and shops for refreshments. It is recommended to start early, as the second third of the hike will be sheltered from the southern sun, but the hardest part is exposed. There are few alternative routes or shortcuts once you are in the gorges between Saint-Cézaire and Saint-Vallier.

This short and beautiful walk follows part ofthe GR®4, which connects Grasse to Caussols. By taking a section of the Route de la Malle, you can enjoy a superb view of the entire Bay of Cannes on a clear day.

This hike goes around the Malle plateau, first following the Colle du Maçon ridge and then the Doublier ridge. Most of the route is along the peaks of the Grasse Pre-Alps and offers breathtaking 360° views of the Mercantour, the Côte d'Azur and the enchanting Caussols plateau.The Malle plateau is farmed by a group of livestock breeders. This route respects the boundaries of the Malle estate, which are marked by numerous signs on the ground.

This is a physically demanding hike, but the wooded areas you will pass through are remarkable. The highlight of the day is the passage through the tunnels bordering the Siagne cliffs. The Deux Goules cave is one of the local attractions.

After crossing the village centre, which has retained its feudal appearance, you will walk along magnificent paths, some of which are paved slanting streets. This hike is reserved for lovers of wooded areas and places steeped in history, as numerous remains bear witness to the intense activity that took place here until the early 20th century.

Lake Saint-Cassien is held back by a dam on the Biançon river, designed to provide electricity. Take advantage of this hike to admire the magnificent views of the lake and the dam. The lake covers an area of 420 hectares. It is also fed by a diversion from the Siagne river. A fishing spot that attracts many enthusiasts of all nationalities, it is home to particularly large carp and catfish. It also serves as a training ground for rowing clubs and a water collection site for Canadair aircraft during forest fires. Lake Saint-Cassien is located in the municipalities of Montauroux, Tanneron, Callian and Les Adrets de l'Estérel. After this beautiful walk, don't hesitate to take advantage of the water sports activities offered by the lake.

From the small Provençal village of Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, this partly shaded route, running alongside the water and following ancient paths, will take you back in time. You will cross the famous Pont des Tuves bridge, walk up the banks of the Siagne river, passing the ruins of the old paper mill, then the Pont des Moulins bridge, before returning to the Siagne Canal to its water intake. The return journey is via the old Pont de Mons bridge.

Starting from the charming village of Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, you will explore the Siagne Gorges. On the programme: - descent to the Saint-Saturnin Chapel, - walk along the Siagne canal, - crossing the splendid Pont des Gabres (or Pont des Tuves, depending on which bank you are on), - climb back up this wild river with its crystal-clear waters and return to the village for a lovely view of this beautiful valley.

A little-used route in the Grasse hinterland. 360° view from the summit of Montagne de Thiey on the Calern Plateau, the bays of Cannes and Saint-Raphaël, the azure Pre-Alps and the Mercantour in the distance Before reaching the summit, you will pass through beautiful woodland and the livestock farming areas of Canaux.

This is a lovely, easy walk for the whole family in autumn to admire the magnificent colours of the leaves or in summer to enjoy the cool shade of the woods.

Circular route from the Bar-sur-Loup karting track. Gentle climb then hike through oak trees with several views of the Pic des Courmettes, Opio, Châteauneuf-Grasse, then magnificent panorama of the coast, the bay of Cannes and Grasse. Fairly steep descent above Grasse and return along the contour line.

A very pleasant route through the Gorges de la Siagne, the river that forms the border between the Var and Alpes-Maritimes departments. On the way back, a visit to the sanctuary of remarkable oak trees will be a pleasant way to round off this route. 

A beautiful walk along the Siagne, through the woods, with some lovely surprises in store: the Tuve bridge and its waterfall, a beautiful little beach, numerous ruins that bear witness to a major agricultural activity in the past, and a forest of centuries-old oaks that is nothing short of fairytale forest. In short, it's the perfect tour for nature lovers and those who enjoy a refreshing swim.

A beautiful circular walk in the Préalpes d'Azur Regional Park.This moderately difficult route will take you from the Siagne valley to Escragnoles via the Briasq Forest. You will reach the Baou Mourine watchtower, which offers exceptional views. The descent follows the Cavalet ridge to return to the starting point.

This is a very shady hike that starts in Montouroux, descends to the Siagne through woods, passes by the beautiful Pont des Tuves bridge and its swimming spots, and returns through a beautiful forest of centuries-old oak trees. ⚠️ 15/09/2025: It appears to be impossible to start the hike at the starting point and connect to point 2: private path with signs and fencing. Hike awaiting verification.

This is a well-known and popular circular route, best done when the mimosa is in bloom between January and March. The route is clearly marked with abundant, easy-to-read yellow signs, so it is impossible to get lost. The route alternates between shady valleys and ridges illuminated by mimosa trees. However, it should be avoided after heavy rain as there are several fords to cross. It is a relatively long hike but accessible to most walkers.

Notre-Dame du Brusc is a Catholic church where archaeological excavations have uncovered an early Christian cemetery and a baptismal font dating from the 6th century. In the 11th century, a large Romanesque church with a basilica layout was built. Partially destroyed during the Wars of Religion, it has undergone successive restorations to give it its current appearance. The church and the land to the south have been listed as Historic Monuments since 20 August 1986.

Short hike to the summit of the Causse de Calern, where the panorama is remarkable with views of the coastline in the distance, the Caussols Plateau, and the peaks of Cheiron and Mercantour. On the way, visit Notre-Dame de Calern, a cave converted into a chapel.

Notre-Dame de Calern, the cave chapel overlooking the small village of Caussols, leaves no one indifferent. Located on the southern slope of the Calern plateau, this place of devotion and fervour is the site of an annual pilgrimage on 15 August.

This unusual route for the region will take you past limestone rocks sculpted by erosion, including a cave chapel which you can visit. You will pass through the facilities of the Côte d'Azur Astronomical Observatory. This loop will then take you on a journey through 2,000 years of history along a Roman road through the woods. The final section, through stone enclosures and old sheepfolds, bears witness to a pastoral past.

A beautiful circular starting from Caussols, which first leads to the summit of Montet and then to that of Haut Montet. Magnificent and varied landscapes, exceptional views.

A very beautiful hike, discovering two very pretty villages in the Pre-Alps: Le-Bar-sur-Loup and Gourdon. Ideal location for beautiful winter hikes. Gourdon's dominant position offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, from Nice to the Estérel, as well as the surrounding Pre-Alps. You can also discover the Foulon Aqueduct and the Canal du Loup.

A very pleasant wooded hike offering beautiful views of the gorges and the Loup valley. The ancient paths used to connect the villages, the buried Canal du Loup on which we walk, its former railway line dating from before 1900, and its terraces bear witness to a commercial and agricultural past from another era.

After visiting the hilltop village of Gourdon, the old mule track will take you to a natural site nestled at the bottom of a steep-sided valley. The Gorges du Loup reveal themselves to our eyes. Numerous waterfalls, the Courmes waterfall, the Saut du Loup and aerial views from the Pont de l'Abîme are all on the menu for this beautiful hike.

The Cavillore plateau hike is a loop along historic paths with a troglodyte fortress hidden in the cliff, a Roman road and the former priory of Saint-Vincent. Throughout the route, you will enjoy magnificent views of the coast and the village of Gourdon. This circuit is a variation of hike no. 1337911, "Plateau du Col de Cavillore". The route is unshaded and easily accessible, even for paragliders flying overhead.

A very short mini hike with a very gradual and gentle climb. The path is very safe and easy to follow.Very pleasant for a light meal with a panoramic view.

An unusual hike. Discover a small fortress built on the side of a cliff and climb the Colle de Rougiès. This day trip takes you through two areas off the beaten track, including the Cavillore karst plateau. A treat for nature lovers.

The Calern plateau above Caussols is extraordinary for its botanical diversity, karstic relief, sinkholes, karstic caves and collapses. This hike reveals an agricultural heritage of cleared sinkholes, dry stone enclosures and huts, and piles of stones that decorate the landscape. In May, the dew adds a touch of magic to the wild orchids, ball thyme and budding lavender.

After learning about the work carried out by the Calern Astronomical Observatory, this hike takes you along one of the longest ridges in the region, offering magnificent panoramic views of the karst plateau, the Caussols plain, the middle country and the Mercantour.
