A varied circular walk with lovely views across the surrounding countryside to Lake Deger and Lake Schlein. A very varied circular route awaits you through the ‘hinterland’ of Nonnenhorn to the beautiful Degersee and Schleinsee lakes, offering stunning panoramic views. You’ll pass through the villages of Selmnau, Poppis, Riedensweiler, Wettis, Busenhaus, Nitzenweiler, Gattnau and Retterschen. Parts of the route follow small roads, and often take you along field tracks, woodland paths and meadow paths.

The Röttingen Forest Nature Trail invites you to enjoy a varied walk through the woods. Along the way, you’ll find interesting information about life in the forest and different types of trees. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to experience nature whilst discovering fascinating facts.

Discover Jena on a short, varied city walk that blends history with high-tech. The 1.3-kilometre route leads from the Marktplatz, with its historic town hall and the “Schnapphans”, past St Michael’s Church, the medieval city walls and the Collegium Jenense, right up to the striking Jentower. Along the way, you’ll come across traces of Goethe, Schiller, Zeiss, Abbe and Schott – and, to round off the walk, experience two of the city’s special highlights: the Botanical Gardens and the Zeiss Planetarium.

Along the ‘Cerda & Celtoi’ sculpture trail – Art and the Celts – between the Celtic ring wall and the European Academy in Otzenhausen, 18 sculptures welcome visitors. What makes it special is that these were created between 2005 and 2007 by artists from the Celtic settlement area stretching from Ireland through Spain to Turkey. In the former tribal territory of the Treveri, who built Europe’s largest Celtic fortification on the Dollberg, you can take a journey into the past. Wandering through the woods and past impressive rock formations, walkers can discover the magnificent low-mountain landscape.

Easy walk with beautiful viewpoints You can explore this beautiful and varied landscape along narrow lanes and footpaths. The circular route leads from the lake, through fertile orchards and vineyards, to stunning vantage points and historic sights against the magnificent backdrop of the Alpine panorama.

The ‘Bibili’ Trail is a child-friendly section of the Hahn-und-Henne Circuit and is ideal for a relaxed family walk. From the Schwarzer Adler car park in Unterharmersbach, the trail leads along the Bächle stream to a water treading area with a barbecue site. Crossing meadows and passing through small woods, it heads to the opposite side of the valley and, after a short climb, returns at a leisurely pace. Along the way, a large playground and the Oberburehof wine tavern provide lovely spots for a break.
