AugenBlick Circular Walk, Baden-Baden Neuweier

This ‘AugenBlick’ circular walk offers delightful views: as well as the local wine-growing landscape, you can enjoy glimpses of the Black Forest, the Vosges and the Palatinate Forest.

The Nature Park ‘AugenBlick’ circular walk winds its way up and down around the wine-growing village of Neuweier. The ‘AugenBlick’ viewpoint on the Schartenberg is just one of many charming vantage points from which walkers can continually gain fresh perspectives on the nearby Black Forest landscape and the more distant mountain ranges of the Vosges and the Palatinate Forest.

The beautiful cultural landscape, with its scattered orchard trees and pollarded willows, through which the trail leads, also leaves a lasting impression. The section of the trail through the centuries-old dry stone walls of the Mauerberg is particularly fascinating.

Notes

Author: Baden-Baden Tourismus GmbH

The section of the trail through the dry stone walls of the Mauerberg follows a narrow and steep path. It requires sure-footedness and a head for heights, and should not be used when wet. An easily accessible shortcut is signposted.
