Lac de la Partie - Vallon de Polset

A good hike with an uphill route along the Povaret torrent, away from the usual trails.
The uphill trail is well marked but there are hardly any signposts.
Loop of the four Aussois refuges

From the new car park at the Aussois dams, there is a fairly easy route around Lake Plan-d'Amont, which allows you to discover the four refuges in the southern part of the Vanoise National Park. You enter the heart of the park. In summer, there are many marmots and they are not shy. The landscapes are magnificent and varied, from the rhododendron bushes on the lake shore to the Labby glacier and the mineral deserts of La Fournache.

From Valfréjus to Modane via the GR®5

This is an easy, downhill hike from Valfréjus to Modane. The route follows the GR®5. It is a gentle slope, passing near the pretty Notre-Dame du Charmaix chapel, and there are many oratories in different styles along the way. Take the shuttle bus between Modane station and Valfréjus, but be sure to check the timetable.
From the Bramanette Refuge to the Ambin Refuge

A beautiful route, sometimes off the beaten track or on poorly marked paths. From the top of the passes, you can see both the peaks of the Vanoise (the Dent Parachée) and the Barre des Ecrins.This hike follows on from the "Le refuge de Bramanette" route.
The Refuge de Bramanette

This short hike is the starting point for a magnificent three-day trek between Haute Maurienne and Val de Suze (Italy), with beautiful lakes and numerous small glaciers.But the setting and the welcome at the Refuge de Bramanette are such that they alone justify spending the night there and descending back down to the valley the next day!
Lac de Savine - Col du Clapier

Route following the hypothetical passage of Hannibal and his elephants across the Alps. At the end of the wild and long valley lies the superb and large Lake Savine, at the foot of the Dents D'Ambin. A little further on, the Clapier border pass offers a magnificent view. On the way back, take a short detour to the Perrin Lakes.
Croce Chabriere

Above Bardonecchia, this cross has a particularly striking view of the winding road connecting the exit from the Fréjus tunnel to the Italian cities, beginning with Turin.
The Bellecombe Lakes and others

This is a lovely, easy hike in the Vanoise.
It is also a lake circuit dominated by the Vanoise glaciers between the Dent Parrachée and the Grande Casse.
From Lac Blanc to the Plan du Lac refuge, the route is neither mapped nor marked.
Le Pommier Blanc crossing

This summit is the end of a ridge descending from the Vanoise glaciers and allows you to immerse yourself on this slope of the right bank of the Torrent de Chavière overlooking the Prioux, without too much elevation gain or real technical difficulty, but at the cost of part of the route being off-trail.
The Chalet des Nants and the balcony trail

An easy walk in the Vanoise that is suitable for children or as a warm-up walk at the start of your stay. The circuit allows you to discover the Cirque des Nants and the Chavière valley from the balcony trail. There is a small lake on this trail that is a nice place to stop for the children.
The Green Lake

This is a short walk to an easily accessible lake that is well worth a visit. At the foot of a huge scree slope, Lac Vert is a gem of exceptional colour.
Mont Thabor from Les Granges de la Vallée Etroite

From its height of 3,178 metres, enjoy the magnificent 360° panorama that Mont Thabor offers over the Alps, as well as its small chapel, Notre-Dame des-Sept-Douleurs.
The balconies of the Pointe de la Masse
A pleasant, easy hike on the balconies of the Pointe de la Masse. The circuit takes you to the Lac et Refuge du Lou, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the different districts of Les Ménuires resort. Val Thorens resort is also visible, as are the glaciers above it.
Lac du Lou and Lac de Pierre Blanche
This hike explores a wild area starting from the lively resort of Les Ménuires.
There are lakes to discover, of course, but also a multitude of streams and rhododendron beds. Marmots and chamois watch over your progress.
