Aussois - Valfréjus

Set off from Aussois (a very pretty village).

(S) From the village, follow the signposted route towards Fort Redoute Marie Thérèse.
Head down to the Pont du Diable.

(1) Head back up towards Fort Marie Thérèse.

(2) Cross the D1006 road and follow the^GR®®5towards La Norma (ski resort).

(3) Walk through the village and head back down towards Modane.

(4) In Modane, the^GR®®5passes to the left of the town hall, then along Rue du Charmaix, climbs into the old village, and follows the Notre-Dame du Charmaix pilgrimage route.

(6) Walk through the Val Fréjus resort to reach the Tavernes Lodge (1,630 m).

Plenty of water sources, as the route passes through several villages.
