Description of the walk

From La Norma, take the Mélezet gondola lift.

(S) From the top of the gondola lift, descend the north-east slope (Chemin de la Repose).

(1) At the first junction, take the steep path on the right. This turns right and climbs into the forest.

(2) Take the path on the left marked Sentier raquettes des Sources and follow it. Descend gently to the Repose area on the other side.

(3) On the descent through the forest, leave the snowshoe trail on the left and take the path on the right that crosses the Saint-Joseph stream, marked by the passage of an avalanche a few years ago. Then join a wide path and climb up to the right.

(4) Before reaching the piste, descend off-piste in the powder snow between the ski lifts. Carefully cross the ski piste to follow the wooded area and descend safely to the mountain restaurant. Return to the departure point of the Repose chairlift (E).

Take the chairlift to La Norma.
