Sévérac-le-Château walks

Perhaps the most beautiful walk along the Causse Méjean, which traditionally starts out from Le Rozier. Here, by starting on the cliff top, there is less vertical drop, as you stay between 870 and 720m the whole way. As well as breath-taking scenery, you can see vultures circling above you and even below you on the cliffs!

This walk was created by the Pays de la Muse et des Raspes Tourist Office. A very pleasant walk, even in summer, as it is often in the shade. During the season, admire the splendid rosebushes in the streets of Saint-Beauzély.

This walk is located on the north side of the Aigoual massif in the Cevennes. At the summit of the hike you will have a beautiful view of the Causse Mejean and the Valley of Jonte. On a clear day looking west you can see the Millau viaduct.

You're sure to enjoy this varied hike: you'll walk high up in the summer pastures, then descend to the paths of the Saint-Urcize forest and finish by following the Hère river, which will reveal its waterfalls.Avoid this hike in very hot weather!
